Spencer Reid - One Shots

A Little Surprise

Prompt: One day you show up to your fiance's office to surprise him. But the team doesn't know you, and one in particular tries to get close to you.

It had been a beautiful summer's day in Virginia. The sky was as blue as the sea, sunlight beating down on you. Kids running around laughing, crowded the loud streets, while you were on your way to your fiance's work.

He had been working a lot recently and today was one day where he could relax a bit. So you thought you would take him out to lunch, at a little restaurant you guys found a year ago.

Walking off the elevator, you were greeted by a tall muscular man. This man whistled at the sight of you, as well as eyed you up and down. All you could do was laugh a bit at him.

"Well look who the cat dragged in. Now, tell me mama who you here visiting?" The man smirked.

Before you had the chance to answer he started to introduce himself.

"By the way I'm Derek Morgan, an I work here." He started to get a bit cocky with himself. "I also just so happen to be single" Wiggling his eyebrows to you. You nodded a bit.

Derek felt a bit off, you weren't replying to him at all and his flirting tactics weren't really working. You found it funny. Spencer had told you all about his team, and especially how Derek was a ladies man.

"You know what I think?" He questioned wanting something.

"What do you think?" Finally answering.

"Heh, I think that you secretly like me." You looked at him in disbelief, as he started profiling. "This is why you aren't answering, it's something that is actually very common. You are also fiddling with your thumbs, this also tells me that you are somewhat nervous. Maybe because of me... Then from other observations I have made, I can tell that you would not tell me you like me because you are the nervous type. And taking big actions like that are something you would prefer to avoid." He smirked.

"Or maybe you have her completely wrong" A voice came from behind Derek. Recognizing that voice from anywhere, you smiled.

Spencer walked around and stood next to you. He had also been smiling, from seeing you, but he didn't quite yet want to show off that you were his yet.

"You see Derek, I'd say she actually has a very outgoing personality. Implying that she doesn't experience much nervousness from talking to people. Fiddling of the thumbs is something a lot of people do. Not just in general though, sometimes it happens just when being in a new environment." Spencer finished.

Derek looked at him in shock. If he didn't know any better he might even say the two of you knew each other... Little did he know.

You laughed at the two a bit. This causing Spencer to chuckle a little as well. Taking one of your hands and holding it up.

"Oh and not to mention the engagement ring. Which you would have notice if you were too busy just trying to get her attention. Also, Derek. I would like to introduce you to my fiance, (y/n)!" Now you got to be the one smirking at the agent standing opposite of you.

You put your hand out to him, but all he could do was stare dumbfounded. He shook your hand then awkwardly walked away.

Laughing on the way in, the couple walked through the main doors. Spencer had been wanting to introduce you to the team, but he was never fully sure if he should, with all the dangers his work faces.

Penelope was the first to realize there was a new person in the building. She immediately ran over towards you, starring at you. Then she realized you two had your arms linked.

"Wa-wait! Is this (y/n)!!" She yelled. Little did you know that your fiance talked about you a bit. This obviously being to Penelope and JJ (who you already knew), and JJ told Emily a bit of you.

Standing behind Spencer a bit, you nodded. Normally you were fine with people, but there was something with Penelope that threw you off a bit.

"What's going on?" Emily came rushing over to you three. "Oh hello! Spence who's this?" She started wiggling her eyebrows at him.

Spencer was going to answer the question. However you piped up before he could.

"I'm his fiance, (y/n)!" Excitedly speaking. "I hate to be rude, but I came because I wanted us to go out for lunch. And there's only a few hours I can spend out."

You grabbed your fiance's hand, rushing him out of the building.

"Bye guess I'll be back soon!" Spencer yelled.

"Nice meeting you all! And bye Derek." You spoke while passing him. Spencer and you giggled and headed off to lunch.
