Prompt: Being Spencer's girlfriend, and a FBI agent tends to be tuff. But it's even harder when Spencer gets in the way of your job, to try and keep you safe.

Two bullets were lodged deep into your shoulder, one at the top of it. The other closer to your elbow, specifically a few centimeters above it. It didn't hurt that badly, honestly you'd been hurt worse.

One time you had been taken by an unsub, and tortured for two weeks straight. Now that pain was the worst you had ever felt. But ever since then most things were numb to you. Being cut by a knife felt like nothing.

Meaning this gunshot, yeah it hurt, but you hardly felt it at this point. However just because it didn't hurt, didn't everyone would stop panicking about it.

One that was especially panicking was your boyfriend, Spencer. Even though you were only shot in the shoulder, he was freaking out. So much so, he started getting in the way of all the doctors in the ambulance.

Even Hotch for some reason wouldn't let you go back to work until 2 weeks after being released. Things just started getting worse from that point on.

It was finally the day you could go back to work, and to say you were happy about it was an understatement. Laying on your ass for 2 weeks was boring. Plus having Spencer being constantly checking on you, was getting obnoxious.

Spencer drove the two of you to work together. Being sure to grab coffee before getting there.

"Hey there she is!" Derek yelled out, running towards you upon arrival. Soon followed by one very happy Penelope. Quickly wrapping you into a tight hug.

Everyone on the team was happy and excited for your return. However the excitement soon faded when the case was presented. Or more of like when you all were told you'd debrief on the plane.

The case was of a child abduction, the child had been missing for 7 hours already. And we all know how those cases go, with the first 24 hours being the most crucial.

After being there for only an hour, information started flying in left and right. Very quickly locations began to be sent out.

The team would have to split into three teams. Each team being a cross between police officers and agents. Once the teams had been made everyone started going to the SUVs.

Until Spencer walked out.

"No, you're staying back. I'm not letting you go out there." He pointed towards you, speaking in a stern voice.

"This isn't the time Spencer." You shot back already half way in the vehicle. Then without another word you fully climbed in.

-time skip-

The abductor is dead, child back home safely, with the team all heading to their own homes. Neither you or Spence spoke on the car ride home. But the silence was killing you.

However the second the door to the apartment slammed shut. The yelling began.

"I can't believe you did that!" Spencer spat out.

"Can't believe what? That I did my job?"

"No that you didn't listen to me when I told you not to go out."

You scoffed at what he said. Turning to walk away, but he grabbed your wrist forcing you to stay.

"No, you do not get to walk away from me. You could've gotten hurt. Again!"

"So what if I got hurt again! At least it would mean I tried to save people. Instead of just sitting back, because my boyfriend is too protective!" He was taken aback, he never fully thought about it that way.

Before he could say anything more, you escaped his grip and walked away. Leaving Spencer alone in the living room.

Hours passed by, you hadn't come out of the bedroom. Which left Spencer to believe that you were asleep. And when walking into the room to see you laying on your side, facing away from him. His suspicion seemed true.

Little did he know though you were wide awake, with left over tear tracks staining your cheeks.

Behind you the bed caved in, under the weight of the agent. He came over towards you, placing his hand on your shoulder once reaching you.

"I'm sorry for arguing with you earlier. I didn't think of how it would make you feel when I was being overprotective." Brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. Thus showing your eyes, that were open.

"It's just... within the past 5 months you've been taken. Tortured. Shot, not just once, but twice. I can't help but try to protect you now, because I couldn't then." Close to the end his voice began sound shaky.

You rolled over so you were now facing him, giving him a small smile. "You just make it seem like I can't handle myself. When you can I both know, that I am fully capable of doing that."

"I know how it seems, and I'm sorry. Can you for give me?"

"Maybe" He gave you puppy dog eyes, whilst you looked at him with a sly smile. Immediately he understood you wanted a kiss.

He leaned forward placing his lips onto yours. It wasn't that long of one, but it was nice, and much needed.

"Ah, now you can be forgiven. So long as it doesn't happen again."

"Promise it won't. "

I know the ending isn't great, and is definitely not how it should've ended. Butt I couldn't think of another way to end it, so, yeah.
