Temari is pregnant!

Shikamaru ran as fast as he could. He wasn't the type of person to show his feelings to others, as he thought that it was troublesome. However, the only person that he opened up to is Temari.

As he was approaching the hospital he could not stop worrying about his wife. What would he do if something happened to her? How was he going to get over it? He had already lost his father and his sensei; he could not lose Temari. He would be devastated.

"My wife, Temari Nara, was brought here. She is 9-months pregnant and she was brought here due to bleeding", he said as soon as he reached the hospital's reception.

"Let me check", the male receptionist answered to Shikamaru. "She is currently at level -1 as she is undergoing surgery. You could go there and sit at the waiting area".

"Thank you very much", the Nara man said to the man in front of him.

He immediately ran towards the stairs.

He was worried.

He was afraid.

He didn't know how to deal with this.

When he arrived at the waiting area, he found his mother and one more family waiting. His mother was crying. He didn't like that. He took a breath before going into the room.

"Mom. I have arrived", he said.

Yoshino looked up to him. She was relieved that he arrived.

"Shikamaru", she exclaimed as she hugged her son.

"Mom tell me what happened".

"Temari was alone for only 10 minutes. When I arrived at your home, I tried to call her but she didn't respond. At first, I thought that she was sleeping; however, when I entered the kitchen, I found her semi-fainted while bleeding. The only thing that she told was to call for an ambulance and inform you", Yoshino said in the middle of crying.

Shikamaru was only listening to his mother. He didn't know how to react. He wanted to shout. He blamed himself from leaving her alone. He was the one responsible for this. However, he had to keep going.

"What did the doctors say?", he asked the woman in front of him.

"They said that Temari suffered from placenta abruption".

"Is it serious?".

"It is. That is why they scheduled an emergency c-section for her".

"Did they say something else?", Shikamaru finally asked his mother.

"Unfortunately, no. We have to wait for any update"

"Alright".

As he was sitting on the chair and waiting for the doctors to let them know how the surgery is going, he tried to remain calm. He had to. He couldn't breakdown now. He needed to be strong, for him, Temari, and their child.

After a few minutes, his mind started to wonder and he thought about his wife.

They knew each other from the Chunin Exam, he didn't like her at first. He thought that she was a strong, arrogant and mean kunoichi. She did not show any empathy towards Ten-Ten during their fight; so, when he learned that he opponent was her he wasn't happy.

However, during their battle he understood one thing. Temari was a tough opponent. She was a strategic person like him and she would not take any unnecessary steps. She was a smart and methodological kunoichi.

He was fascinated by that. He was getting more and more excited during their fight. Finally, someone pushed him to his limit. She made him reveal his strategic pose. Even though in the end he gave up, he was the only genin who was promoted to chunin.
