Temari is pregnant!

A little jealousy (Part 1)

It was a little after two in the morning. Shikamaru just got back home. He promised Temari that after the birth of their son, he would try to return home earlier than before, but today he couldn't meet his promise. Shikadai was already 5 months old and today was a full day Hokage's office. He had to redo some documents that Yurito supervised, and he also needed to get Kakashi sign a bunch of documents. Sometimes he thought that the Hokage was acting more childish than his son, but he said nothing.

As he was climbing the stairs to get to bedroom, he was removing his uniform piece by piece. Finally, he opened the door to his and Temari's room very slowly, not to wake them. What he saw made him smile instantly.

Many people thought that Temari is a sophisticated, calm, and always serious woman; however, they are wrong. Well, they are not that wrong. Temari was indeed a sophisticated, calm, and serious woman; but there was something that the rest of the world didn't know about her. Shikamaru could proudly say that him and Temari's brothers were the only people who knew her dorky side. Actually, she didn't have a dorky side, she just had a weird sleeping position.

Temari would usually sleeps on her right side with her right leg stretched and her left leg bended and over her right leg. It is like she is laying down on her side while her legs were crossing. He first learned about how weird she sleeps the first night that they spent together, as he visited her in Suna.

"You are finally back", he heard his wife's voice as soon as he tried to lay on bed.

"Yeah. Sorry I am late and waking you up"

"Busy day?"

"Yeah.", he answered. "I can see that you are flexible as ever", he continued with a small chuckle.

"Shut up. It is comfortable for me!", Temari answered opening her eyes to look at her husband for the first time since he got back.

They just stared at each other eyes for a few seconds.

"Now be quiet, I am exhausted", Temari broke the silence between them and turn to her side to find her comfortable position.

"Good night", Shikamaru whispered while laying with his back on the bed and facing the ceiling. He couldn't sleep, even though he knew he was tired. Instead, he started thinking about his first night with Temari and how he got jealous for the first time in his life.

They had already been dating for 8 months but they had only gone to no more than 10 dates, because they weren't living in the same village and they were both extremely busy. Both of them were working near the Kage of their village and they needed to secure the peace in the nation.

Their only chance to meet was when either of them had to visit the other's village in a mission. Unfortunately for them, due to the peace their work consisted of office requirements. That meant that they didn't have many chances to meet each other, and when they did, they weren't able to spent more than a day with the other person.

However, one day Shikamaru was asked by Kakashi to deliver an important document to the Kazekage. At first, he was going to question Kakashi's decision, but before saying anything the white-haired man said "You need some time off work. Consider this mission as your chance to relax. You have 3 days off".

The Nara man was happy to hear that. He needed 3 days to get to Suna and another 3 to get to Konoha. That meant that he had 3 days for himself and Temari. He wanted to surprise Temari with his visit, as she was usually the one who came to Konoha, so he decided not to let her know in advance.
