Temari is pregnant!

I lost you

"Now we got you Princess. This is the end. Let's go", Lambda said whilst grabbing Temari by her hand.

"TEMARIIIIIIII. LET HER GO"

"Nope. We have already spent a lot of time trying to capture her. Thank you for coming and making her let her guard down, Nara. You were a great help. We would remember you when we torture her", the Omicron said.

"Let's go", Kappa stated, and his team members agreed with him and started running towards the opposite direction. Prior to them leaving, Omicron attacked once again with Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction to keep both Shikamaru and C away from them.

Shikamaru run as fast as he could behind them, but the three Kumogakure ninja were constantly attacking him with multiple and back-to-back attacks. However, he dodged everything. He had to. He needed to get Temari back.

"Ninja Art: Shadow Stitching Jutsu", Shikamaru said and immediately several sharp tendril-like needles appeared and moved towards the three enemies. By doing that Shikamaru hoped to capture them and restraint their movements, without injuring Temari.

He was a step behind though. When the needles that were created by his shadow finally reached them instead of being about to restraint them; the three bodies were replaced into logs of wood.

"What? How?", Shikamaru wondered. He was sure that he was able to catch up with them and that he would take down at least one of them; however, he was wrong.

"I am under an illusion", he exclaimed. It took him some time, but now he was able to understand it.

Even though Shikamaru came here to help Temari and make sure that she would return safely in Konoha. He was wrong. Lambda was right. Maybe if he didn't reveal himself, C would defeat both of them, and Temari would be on guard.

Shikamaru was now totally defeated. He was sitting on his knees, with both hands touching the ground, and his head was looking down. He was breathing heavily.

He wanted to scream, but he couldn't.

He wanted to get up and search for her, but he couldn't.

He wanted to cry, but he couldn't.

He was lost into his thoughts.

I lost her.

I couldn't save her.

I let them take her from him.

It's my fault.

Now what?

"Shikamaru", a voice could be heard.

"Shikamaru", the voice called again. Finally, Shikamaru raised his head and turned to the direction that the voice was coming from.

Naruto, he thought. Naruto, Shizune, Sai, and C were in front of the Nara man and looked at him with curiosity.

"Shikamaru what happened?", Naruto addressed him once again.

"I couldn't save her. They took her. I was caught in an illusion like an amateur!", he exclaimed. His voice was steadily raising with each phrase he said. Anger, frustration, and sadness could be understood from his tone.

"Shikamaru, you should head back to Konoha, to your mother's place. Me, Naruto, Shizune, and C would search for her. They shouldn't have gone too far away", Sai instructed, and as he could see that Shikamaru was about to protest he continued, "I am not negotiating Shikamaru! Go back now!".

It was the first time that Sai used a serious voice and wasn't smiling at all.

"Okay", it was the only thing that Shikamaru said and stood up.
