Chapter 22

The next morning,

Jasmine woke up feeling arms wrapped around her and her face buried in a chest

It took her minute to remember the night before and figured they must've fallen asleep in the guestroom and somehow during the night they must've ended up like this

Carefully she tried to move to her side of the bed, figuring that when Michael wakes he'd not be happy it's her instead of Nina that was in his arms

"Don't leave, not yet" Michael mumbled pulling her back and held her

"I'm not Nina, I'm Jasmine" She mentioned softly

"I know" Michael replied and opened his eyes "You're a nice um heater, I mean that positive" He told her

"I enjoyed your arms around me too" Jasmine replied and smiled at him

"I kind of... enjoyed holding you too" Michael smiled at her

"I could make breakfast? Savory pancakes maybe?" Jasmine mentioned

"I did enjoy them last time you made them" Michael replied

Their conversation was interrupted by Nicole and Angel that barged into the room

"Mommy, auntie Juana said you'd be here when I wake up and she's right" Angel smiled and climed into the bed, into her mother's lap since both Michael and Jasmine sat up, each on their own side of the bed once they heard the girls barge in

"Daddy did you know uncle Tito drived us home?" Nicole mentioned and climed into her father's lap

"No I didn't know he drove you home" Michael answered

"Yes and auntie Juana was in the front seat and uncle Al was in the backseat next to us" Angel mentioned

"Yes and then she said to uncle Tito he is very sweet to drive us all here and she will call him tomorrow" Nicole added

"Really?" Both Michael and Jasmine asked

"Yes and uncle Al said to her she is acting desperate, what does that mean?" Both Angel and Nicole asked

"I don't know... Anyway did Ricky feed you a sugar bomb for breakfast?" Michael asked Nicole since she was extremely chatty this morning

"No I don't know where Ricky is but Miss Juana gave us cupcakes for breakfast" Nicole smiled "You never give me cupcakes for breakfast" She added crossing her arms

"Because they're not breakfast" Michael answered

"Auntie Juana said 'Here eat this and then go play or something'" Angel mentioned

"Yes so I wanted to give you a cupcake too but I didn't find you" Nicole mentioned "Why you wasn't in your room daddy?" she asked

"Well I... Um I wanted to see if Miss Jasmine was awake already and then find you and Angel to have breakfast" Michael quickly made up

"Oh ok" Nicole frowned, not completed satisfied with that answer

"Mommy why are you in the same clothes as yesterday? Did you forget to put pajamas on?" Angel asked her mother

"Um... Yes I was really tired so I forgot to put pajamas on and fell asleep in my clothes from yesterday" Jasmine replied

"Did you do that too?" Nicole asked her father while noticing he was in yesterday's outfit too

"I think so" Michael answered

"Ok" Nicole shrugged her shoulders "Can we play Legos now?" she asked
