Chapter 50

A few weeks later, December 20th 1990,

While everyone was preparing for Christmas, decorating the entire Ranch, making sure all the groceries they needed were in the house and everything else that was involved in preparing for the holidays

Jasmine made overtime at the bakery working on the Christmas orders, not noticing the media took pictures of her when she arrived or left her bakery, they wondered if she enjoyed her own pastries a little too much lately because they noticed her stomach was getting bigger

Janet, Al and Ricky also went trough with their pregnancy plans, mostly Janet and Al since they were going to be the parents of the first child, they saw a doctor at the hospital that advised them to try the normal way because IVF meant hormones, wasn't cheap and they'd probably have more chance to get pregnant if they try it the normal way

The girls were off school too, for the holidays and wanted to help out the staff that was decorating the house with Christmas decorations and and a tree in the living room

"This is rediclious, it's the third time they have the same story" Michael mentioned shaking his head at the paper that was talking about Jasmine enjoying her own cookies a little too much lately and it was probably Michael's fault for some reason, they probably were arguing and she found her comfort in her own pastries while he ignored her feelings and was recording at the studio

"Well it's technically your fault she's getting bigger, I mean she's pregnant right?" Frank replied

"You know what? I'll call the interviewer from last time and we'll tell her about the pregnancy, cause I'm sure that's the next story they come up with" Michael mentioned

"That unprofessional little girl? Was she a highschool senior or what?" Frank scoffed

"Her name is Claire and she's nineteen, she was doing steet opinions for a year and it was her first interview, they didn't even tell her it was live, more importantly she was nice" Michael told him

"Ugh why do you always want to play hero to hopeless cases like that girl" Frank sighed

"If I can help someone I will" Michael told him "But why do you always have to be a negative person?" He asked him

"Because I'm your manager and I need to remind you about the bussines part of your brand" Frank answered

"Yet you don't get to decide anything without mine or Ricky's approval, who by the way needs my approval first too before making decisions on my behalf" Michael replied

"Where's Mr I decide on the bosses behalf anyway?" Frank asked, annoyed that he as manager has less 'power' than the PA and head of security

"He's driving my mother around today and watching the girls, mother needs a few groceries and he needs to pick up a few groceries for Jaz too" Michael replied

"So what does it say?" Al asked Janet who just took a pregnancy test

"We've to wait like five minutes or so, according to the box" Janet answered

"Should we tell the others right away if you are? Or just Ricky?" Al asked her

"Just Ricky and we won't tell my family until I'm showing, I'm in no mood for the judgemental and dissaproving looks or talks" Janet mentioned "Mother wants me to marry you probably, Joseph probably wants to kill you, Jermaine and Randy will probably wonder how a gay man could get a woman pregnant, Marlon and Tito will be happy for me and Michael too eventually, Jackie and Rebbie will probably agree with mother and Toya wants to know if it's a girl or a boy so she can start buying baby designer clothes, she went nuts when she found out Michael had little girl, she bought Chanel, Burberry, D&G and Armani oncies" She continued
