Chapter 16

The next day,

Once the girls had breakfast Ricky took them outside to the zoo area for a while, leaving Michael and Jasmine alone for a few hours

"Do you want some coffee or tea?" Michael asked Jasmine once she made it to the kitchen and had some cereal

"I could use some coffee" Jasmine answered, barely able to keep her eyes open

While Michael made Jasmine some coffee and some tea for himself, Jasmine finished her cereal

"Here you go" Michael mentioned handing Jasmine her coffee mug

"Tha- what happened to your finger?" Jasmine gasped at the lack of his wedding ring on his finger

"I uh took your advise and took the ring off, you were right it's ok to take the ring off and accept it that Nina isn't coming back" Michael replied "It won't be easy tho" He sighed

"That's a huge thing, I hope you will eventully be ok with it" Jasmine replied

"I hope so too" Michael replied "So um what are your plans for the day?" He asked her

"I've to stop by at the bakery to pick up some paperwork and to take care of salary administration too" Jasmine mentioned "I'll promise not to bake, ok?" She added

"You need your rest, remember?" Michael reminded her

"I know, that's why I'll only pick up the paperwork and say hi to my bakers and decoraters, instead of helping them, like I really want to" Jasmine replied and sighed "And what are your plans for the day?" She asked

"Oh um, I don't know, maybe check the new box of movies for the teather that arrived yesterday, to see if there's any movies the girls might like to watch" Michael mentioned "Maybe you want to watch a movie too, while you're here" He added

"Maybe we could watch a movie with the girls when I'm back?" Jasmine suggested and smiled at him

"Yeah" Michael nodded

--- Meanwhile,

"Hey Ricky?" Nicole asked, climbing on his lap since he sat down on one of the benches at the zoo area

"Yes?" Ricky answered

"Do you think daddy will ever find me a mommy? Like the other kids in school" Nicole asked him

"I don't know sweetie" Ricky answered

"If you want a mommy I'll share my mommy with you" Angel told her best friend

"And I'll share my daddy with you, you said you wanted one and I have one" Nicole replied

"I don't think you can just share your mommy and daddy like that but the idea is sweet" Ricky mentioned

"Maybe you can be Angel's daddy and maybe you know someone that can be my mommy then?" Nicole replied

"My auntie Juana can be your mommy if Ricky is my daddy, she don't have a baby herself" Angel suggested

"Yes, good idea" Nicole smiled

"Uh I don't think it works like that" Ricky mentioned

"Why? Do you not think Angel is nice?" Nicole asked him, glaring at him while she crossed her arms

"Wha- no, Angel is nice but-" Ricky began

"Then why do you not want to be her daddy? I'll tell daddy you're not being nice to my best friend" Nicole replied and jumped back on the ground "Come, we gonna tell my daddy Ricky is mean" She told Angel and grabbed her hand before both girls ran off, back to the house
