*Drakes point of view*

Running in the woods like I do every day for my meal, I suddenly smelt a human. Never feeding on human blood was something I agreed upon many years ago. Animal blood worked just the same, but this human smelt like a fresh batch of strawberries and flowers. The human smells so good, I need to find her.

Once the flowery smell got stronger, I knew the human was close by. There she is, her sleeping body draped over a fallen tree. Is she alright? Why is she out in the woods at this hour? Trying not to wake her I kneel beside her helpless body. The first things I notice are her tiny powdered freckles and her beautiful red hair cascading down her back. I will let her sleep until morning.

The warm summer sun is starting to rise over the trees, casting shadows upon her face. The wind started to pick up again and I smelled her enticing blood. The entire night all I could think about was how delicious her blood would taste on my lips. I would love to sink my fangs into her pink luscious skin, but I had already made an oath. She woke up facing the opposite direction, soon she rolled over opening her angelic blue eyes.

Not knowing what to do I just kept staring at her beautiful eyes. All of a sudden she let out a blood-curdling scream. The ground started to break apart and all I could see were roots springing to life straight at me. Using my vampire speed I ran.

Once I could no longer smell her blood I was far enough away. Did she do that to the ground? The only creatures able to harness enough power were nature fairies. They went into hiding after vampires attacked their kind. Only a few of them still exist throughout the world. She could be one of them, I have to see her again.

Later that day I followed her warm strawberry scent to her house. It was a small cream-colored cottage with different types of flowers surrounding it. Walking up to her door I was about to twist the handle when she ran straight into me. Grabbing her arm I asked her how she controlled the earth. She had no idea what I was talking about.

After I let her go she started to head back into the forest. She is not going into the forest by herself, there are vampires all over in the forest. Especially at night. As soon as other vampires smell her they won't think twice about drinking her blood dry.
