*Celeste's point of view*
It took me a moment to realize that I was just standing in the classroom with my mouth agape, completely shocked, because of the information I just heard.
"Celeste... Celeste..." He said.
"Oh I'm sorry, I'm just surprised."
"It's alright you didn't do anything, no need to apologize. News about a sibling you had no idea about would be hard for anyone to hear." He said with sadness evident on his face.
"So, do you know why our parents gave you up because that's kind of odd?" I said. He looked at me as if he was trying to find the right words to say.
"I got into some trouble when I was younger so our parents gave me away." He said.
Tears started to form in the corners of my eyes. "I'm really sorry."
"There isn't anything we can do about the past Celeste."
"So you're a fairy right?" I ask him abruptly.
"I was waiting for you to ask me about that. Yes, I am a nature fairy just like you." He said with a smirk. A cold shiver ran down my spine and the hair stood up on my arms. That was kind of weird.
"Can you teach me about being a nature fairy?" I ask him unsure of what he would say.
"Yes." He said.
"Okay thank you sir." I say excitedly. I can't wait to practice my powers.
"You can call me Peter, we are siblings after all." He said laughing to himself.
"Have a good day Peter!" I said walking out the door.
"You too Celeste. After your classes tomorrow we can work on your powers."
As I walk back to my room I notice the halls are dark and I can barely see my hand in front of my face. Eventually I made it back to my dorm room. I really need to continue reading the journals. I pull out the suitcase from underneath my bed and unzip it. The journals aren't here? I frantically look everywhere in my room. I move the mattress, check drawers, and rummage through my closet. Where could they be? I headed out to my car to see if I left them there accidentally when I was unpacking. Nothing! Walking back into my room, the journals are sitting on the stand. I had already checked the night stand.
"How did they just show up?" I say out loud.
The last pages have been ripped out of the first journal! They must be important to someone. So no one can take them again, I hide them underneath my bed. I need to get some fresh air.
...
The smell of fresh cut grass and the sun shining down from the sky helps me relax. My mind is running a million miles an hour, I can't think clearly. I sprint towards my car and just drive.
I'm not sure how long I have been driving for. Pulling over to the side of the road I grab my map and step outside. The trees line the road, the fresh forest smell draws me further and further into the closest forest. The trees are really tall, the leaves block most of the sunlight. It's almost dark, I am starting to get cold, but I just keep walking. There is a huge wolf, three times the size of me. Its fur is jet black. I can barely see the outline against the darkness in the forest. All I see are bright blue eyes. They look familiar.
It starts walking closer to me and I back up until I hit a tree. It keeps walking closer, I feel it's breath on my face, it senses that I am scared and rests it's head on my shoulder. Unsure what to do I reach out and rest my hand on it's head. It transforms into Marcus.
"Marcus, w-what are you?" I shout.
I am a wolf, Celeste."
"You're a what?" I said as I slowly inched even closer to the tree for comfort.
"Celeste, I'm a wolf. We can transform whenever we want." He said.
"There are other wolves!" I screamed as I started running towards my car.
"Celeste I'm not going to hurt you, I'm here to warn you." He said.
I turned around and said, "Warn me about what?"
"You need to be careful, who you trust. I can't protect you from everyone." He said.
"Marcus I don't understand."
He ran back towards the trees and shifted back into the dark wolf. Walking the rest of the way to my car, letting out a high sigh as I climbed in. What has my life come to? Everyday a new creature walks into my life.
When I look up Damian and standing in the middle of the road. Oh no, this is definitely not good.
