*Celeste's point of view*

After Drake and Damian left, I began to unpack my bag. Setting a few plants on my nightstand. It was getting darker outside the sun beginning to set, behind the mountains that surrounded the school. I grabbed the first journal my mom left me and continued reading.

It wasn't long after I started reading, I began to fall asleep. Setting the journal on my nightstand with help from the moon's nighttime glow.

...

Waking up to the birds chirping, I got dressed and sent Marcus a quick text message saying, "Good morning, do you want to walk with me to our first class?"

He responded with, "Sure! Meet you outside your room in five minutes."

While I was waiting for him I brushed my teeth. Looking in the mirror, I realized I had completely forgotten about my hair. Oh no! Brushing my hair was my last-minute attempt to control the frizziness, unfortunately, it only made it worse. After hearing Marcus knock on the door he walked in. He had a huge grin spread across his face. I took a moment to check out what he was wearing, he had on jeans and a loose-fitting white t-shirt.

"Hello," I said shyly because I only talked to him once.

He realized that I wasn't making direct eye contact with him and asked, "You alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine I'm just a little nervous that's all," I replied.

We walked out into the hallway towards our first class, which was literature. I felt Marcus's hand on my lower back comfortingly, which was odd but I brushed the thought away. When we walked into the classroom Drake and Damian were sitting in the back of the room, towards the doors. Drake's eyes darted to Marcus's hand on my back and he shot out of his seat and yanked me away. Dragging me into the seat between himself and Damian.

I looked over to Marcus and mouthed "Sorry." There was a jealous look in his eyes but he just walked away to his friends.

We sat in silence waiting for the professor to start class then I blurted out, "What was that about?."

"Who is he.?" Drake said.

"I met him yesterday and he showed me where my dorm room was," I replied. Why was he getting so angry over Marcus?

The professor walked in, he was a tall guy who looked like he was in his early forties. He had dark red hair similar to mine and blue eyes.

"Hello, class today we will be learning about poetry." He said practically shouting trying to gain everyone's attention. Drake and Damian weren't paying any attention to anything that he was saying. I have never liked poetry so I started to doodle a flower in my notebook, tuning out the teacher.

"Miss Celeste, please see me after class." The teacher said,

I looked up at him completely unaware of what he was talking about. It's my first class of the semester and the teacher is already angry with me. That's just lovely. It was close to the end of the class and I was super anxious because I have to see the professor. The bells ring and he dismisses everyone leaving me sitting in my seat. I get up and walk toward the front of the lecture hall.

"What did you need to speak to me about sir?" I responded with a shaky voice.

He looked at me amused and said, "You're not in trouble, I just wanted to see if it was you."

I looked at him confused and he said, "I am your older brother Celeste. I've been looking for you for a long time. My name is Peter."

"You're my brother? That can't be true, I'm an only child." I said, seeing the sadness in his eyes like he was remembering a dark time in his life.

"Your parents gave me up for adoption when I was born." He said.

"Oh," I said, I couldn't think of anything else to say. I was completely speechless. This can't be true, my parents never told me about him. Why would they keep something so life-changing from me?

"Celeste, I am a fairy just like you." He said.

"What are you talking about?" I said I couldn't believe what I was hearing so I pretended I had no idea what he was talking about.

"Spare me, Celeste, I know you're a fairy too." He said with a stern voice.
