"Lisa? Are you going to say anything?" Jennie asked worried after Lisa sat completely silent and still for a couple minutes after her revelation.

"I'm sorry. I'm just shocked I guess." Lisa said taking a deep breath and trying to figure out what to say to her girlfriend whom she just found out is pregnant.

"Are you okay?" Jennie asked worried. She'd had more time than Lisa did to get somewhat used to the idea. Lisa had every right to be a little bit surprised and uneasy.

"I'm fine. Are you okay? Is everything okay?" She asked.

"I'm fine. Apparently everything is normal with the baby, so that's good." Jennie told her, relieved that Lisa was talking about it.

"I'm just going to ask you this once, but I just need to know for sure. The baby is mine right?" Lisa asked. She hated the idea that Jennie would have slept with someone else while they were together.

"You're the only one I've ever been with Lisa, you know that." She told her reaching across the table to take her hand.

"I know that and I knew that it was mine when you told me. It's just I had to make double sure." Lisa said trying desperately to explain what was going on inside her head. There were so many thoughts swirling through her head at that moment, so many feelings and she wasn't sure exactly what she was feeling.

"Have you told your mom and dad yet?" Lisa asked.

"Not yet. I wanted to tell you first. Rosie knows, she went to get the test done with me. But I thought that you should know before anyone else." Jennie told her.

"You could have told your mom and dad." Lisa told her shaking her head. Her dad was a doctor, it would be a good thing to tell him.

"I can't tell my dad I'm pregnant. I'm too scared. I need to wait until my mom gets back from her getaway with her friends. Then I can tell them, but I'm going to need you by my side, if I mean you want to stay with me through this. You don't have to. I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to break up with me now." Jennie said dropping her gaze unable to look Lisa in the eyes.

"I will be there for you through this. We can still be together. I'm graduating this year, when that happens I'll get a job and support you and the baby. We can be a family." Lisa told her holding her hand tighter than before.

"You'll come talk to my parents with me?" She asked hopefully. She couldn't imagine anything more terrifying than sitting down and telling her parents she was pregnant.

"I will, and I'll tell them that I intend to be with you and take care of you long after the birth of the baby." Lisa said stroking her hand tenderly.

"I don't deserve you." Jennie cried.

"No, I don't deserve you Jennie Kim." Lisa told her moving around the table so she could pull Jennie into her arms.

After they had dinner, neither felt much like going to a movie like their original plan stated.

"Do you just want to go home?" Lisa asked her.

"Yeah, I'm pretty tired." She agreed. The worry from telling Lisa she was pregnant had stressed her out. She just wanted to go home, get into bed and leave everything behind for a good nights rest. Then when she woke up in the morning, everything would be alright. Lisa would pick her up for school and they would go back to the way things were before things went awry.

"Alright. You still want me to pick you up tomorrow morning?" Lisa asked as they held hands the entire way back to her house.

"Yes. I want us to go back to the way we were before this happened." She told her.
