"Jennie, you have to tell someone. You have to tell dad. You two can't keep this to yourselves forever." Taehyung stated, still unable to believe that his sister was pregnant. It was a tough pill to swallow and he wasn't quite sure what to think about it.
"I can't tell dad, at least not until mom gets home from her getaway. I need mom to buffer it, we both know she will be the reasonable one in the situation." Jennie insisted.
"You have to tell dad. You just have to Jen. He's a doctor, he can help you." Taehyung implored.
"Why? Why can't I wait? You have no idea how scary the idea is." Jennie pleaded pacing back and forth across the floor of her bedroom.
"Just trust me Jen. I'm sure dad will be more understanding than you think." Taehyung promised.
"You can't promise me that Tae. You don't know how he'd react." Jennie whispered.
"He's a doctor Jen. He sees so many pregnant teens as it is. He probably won't bat an eye, I'm sure of it. You've been dating the same girl for over a year, I'm sure he knows the two of you have slept together more than once. I don't think it'll really affect him." Taehyung tried.
"But there's a difference Tae, he's my father. I'm his daughter, it won't be like it is for all those other teens he sees." Jennie whispered.
"Please Jen, I can't keep this secret. He'll see that something is bothering me and he won't give up until I tell him what it is. It's better that you tell him." Taehyung explained.
"Your brother might be right Jen. What if someone at school finds out and it gets back to your dad." Lisa asked her standing up and walking over to where she was standing with her arms wrapped around herself.
"I know you guys are right, I'm not petrified at telling him." Jennie admitted.
"Hey, I'm here. I'll help you through it. What's the worst thing that can happen?" Lisa asked her.
"My dad could kick me out and disown me." Jennie told her.
"Well then you come live with me. My dad won't care." Lisa told her.
"Besides I can't see it coming to that. But we should get downstairs, dad sent me up here to grab you guys a long time ago." Taehyung told them. Jennie sucked in a deep breath before nodding her head.
"Just try to act natural. You're not confessing to a murder here." Lisa told her placing her hand on her back.
"That's easy for you to say." Jennie whispered as they all left her room and walked downstairs together.
"Just remember that I have your back too Jen." Taehyung told her as they walked into the dining room where Jiyong was waiting.
"This is delicious daddy." Jennie said as she ate another bite of the amazing dinner her father had made them.
"Thank you sweetheart. So what are your plans this evening?" He asked making conversation with his family.
"I don't have plans tonight. I'm thinking just staying home and playing xbox sounds fun." Taehyung called out.
"I don't have plans either yet tonight. Daddy I really have to talk to you." Jennie said steadying her breath. The last thing she needed was to start hyperventilating.
"I noticed something was bothering you. You're awfully quiet tonight. What's on your mind? Is everything okay?" Jiyong asked worried about his daughter. In a show of solidarity Lisa took Jennie's hand and held it under the table.
"Um nothings wrong I don't think." Jennie started unsure of how to make the words leave her mouth. She was having a hard enough time thinking the words half the time. She went from dreading it half the time to enjoying it the other half. It was strange but she figured that's how many teen moms would feel. They would be excited and scared all at the same time. At the moment Jennie felt as though her heart was going to beat right out of her chest as she figured out how to say the words.
