Chapter 25- Crave

This update might just be a bit shorter than the previous chapters. We just have maybe 5 more chapters to go. Do you reckon I should write the prequel to this story? I'll hopefully see you next week, I've learned not to make any promises as I don't stand by it.

Later that night Lisa woke up to find Jennie missing from the bed. She sat up and wiped the sleep from her eyes before getting up. She knew Jennie wouldn't have just gotten up and left in the middle of the night. If something went wrong with any aspect of her life Jennie would have woken her up to tell her. When Lisa got out of bed she heard rustling in the kitchen downstairs so she followed the noise. When she got into the kitchen, she saw Jennie and Kai sitting on the island with a pile of ice cream between them and various other ingredients. It appeared that Kai was just eating plain old vanilla ice cream but Jennie was busy pouring various ingredients onto different spoonfuls of the delicacy.

"What's going on in here?" Lisa asked when she saw them sitting together.

"I woke up when I heard Jennie downstairs. I came down to investigate and she invited me to stay for ice cream. I've gotta say what she's eating is turning me off ice cream for the rest of my life. I assume it's a pregnancy thing?" He asked.

"It's amazing. Kai, you've really got to try mustard." She said her eyes wide.

"No thank you." He said politely and Lisa laughed.

"I've never experienced your cravings yet. This is far better than I thought it would be. I thought you were going to be one of those boring ones that only craved shit like broccoli." Lisa said.

"I don't know what I'm craving. I woke up craving ice cream so I came downstairs to get myself some. But then as I was eating it, it wasn't as satisfying as I thought it would be and I knew it was missing something. So, I started adding things to it. Mustard has been the closet I've found." She told Lisa.

"Have you tried pickles?" Lisa asked.

"Pickles weren't right. It was the first thing I tried and it wasn't satisfying at all. It was quite disgusting." Jennie answered.

"And mustard and vanilla ice cream isn't?" Lisa asked and Kai laughed.

"Don't judge it until you try it. Ella loves it." Jennie said rubbing her distended belly tenderly.

"I'm sure Ella loves it but I just don't understand why. It looks freakishly disgusting." Lisa said shaking her head.

"I definitely agree with you. But since I'm finished and it's not my job to watch her eat something so disgusting, I'm going back to bed. Have a good night." Kai said walking away.

"Night Kai. Thanks for having an ice cream party with me." Jennie called.

"No problem. I had fun." He told her and she smiled.

Once Jennie was finally done with her ice cream, she and Lisa cleaned up the kitchen before heading back upstairs.

"You know you could have woken me up to come have ice cream with you." Lisa told her as they walked back upstairs.

"I know, but you looked so cute and I didn't want to wake you up. You were snoring ever so softly and I wanted ice cream. I felt bad for waking Kai up; Your dad isn't going to be mad that I raided your fridge is he?" She asked.

"Not at all. He knows you're pregnant and he bought the ice cream for you. That's the only reason we have it." Lisa promised and Jennie felt so much better. Lisa shut the bedroom door behind them and they both crawled back into bed.
