First of all, sorry this took so damn long, I had a busy week and not much time to write, but I'm back now!

—————————————

It had been nice to forget for just a moment all of the horrors that we had been through in the last few days. We had enveloped ourselves in a bubble of pleasure for the night, locking everything else out in favor of each other.

We had taken our time, getting up to shower after a bit, but the shower didn't end up being overly productive as far as cleaning went once he had me pinned against the shower wall.

We were both dog tired and drained of all energy. It had been more than a day since either of us had last slept, so we fell back into bed after our shower and slept until well past dawn.

It was nice to get some temporary relief while we let Harry have time to gather whatever information he could about the people we had stolen the virilium from.

Louis had completely filled Harry in about everything that was going on here, he knew that Andrea had been kidnapped and shot and that the gunshot wound had been fatal. He also explained the situation that happened at the airport at my request so that any security footage of the murder could be erased.

It was funny to hear Harry chewing him out about the situation at the airport, he said everything I had wanted to say about it. He agreed with Louis that the guy was an ass and absolutely deserved it, but he also sided with me and said that Louis had been too reckless. He had already dropped a body in Orlando, we couldn't keep leaving a trail of bodies up the states.

It was also much colder in New York, and Louis and I certainly weren't dressed for the weather or another mission.

We were going to need some new clothes, weapons and whatever information Harry could get us. Louis was going to need a laptop as well to access the files.

There was one place I knew I could at least get a laptop and clothes for me.

I was going to have to brave my apartment.

I already knew I couldn't live there in the empty space where Andrea used to be anymore. It would be suffocating. I was going to have to get rid of that apartment, but I didn't want to just assume I could keep living in the apartment in Louis's tower either. I was going to need to either ask him about whether or not he wanted me to live there or just get a new apartment...which would also mean I would have to go through the painful process of cleaning out the old one.

All of my options sounded uncomfortable, but that was a problem that was going to have to wait for a later date. The only thing that mattered now was finding Andreas killers.

The only way I was going to be able to get through any of this crap was to take it one step at a time.

I left the hotel early, letting Louis sleep in. I wanted to do this part by myself. He was so tired that he didn't even wake or make a sound when I left.

My apartment was totally dark and when I opened the door, a whoosh of cold air washed over me so I knew Andrea hadn't been home for a while since the heating hadn't been on.

I shivered and flicked the lights on.

Everything was tidy and clean, my clothes had been folded and put away and my wardrobe, and our meager stack of DVDs was still arranged perfectly under the cheap television.
