Yes, yes I know it's been a hot minute with the writing. I was working on updating my other story and then decided to take a little break for Thanksgiving because honestly I needed one but I'm back now so...hooray..?
-----------------------------------------------
I awoke with a start, a strange feeling running through me.
It took me a moment to figure out why I felt so weird, and then I realized I was alone.
"Lou?" I called out.
I hopped out of bed, the cold air wrapping around my body and making me shiver.
My entire body ached from the long day I had yesterday and the long night we had decided to throw on top of it. My head was pounding and the stitches in my side were throbbing. I closed the curtains in my room where the light was streaming through to ease some of the pain in my head and slipped on a pair of sweats and a tank top out of my dresser, throwing my hair up in a messy bun.
I then proceeded to hunt for Louis...who wasn't in the kitchen or on the couch.
A small part of me wondered if he had left, maybe he was upset about what had happened last night?
Finally, I noticed the sound of water running coming from my bathroom and a wave of relief washed over me.
He was still here.
I went to dig through the fridge, hoping Andrea had the good sense to buy food recently. I could hear her fussing around in her room and I wondered what time she had gotten home after her mission. I hadn't heard her come in, but then again I had been out like a light as soon as I had managed to fall asleep.
I pulled several bottles of painkillers from the cabinets, swallowing four despite the fact that the bottle only recommended two and set out a few for Louis who would undoubtedly need them. He had a worse concussion than I did and yet there he was, in the shower like it was nothing.
Thankfully, there were some eggs left and just enough bread for the three of us.
I praised Andrea internally and threw the eggs in a pan, tossing the shells in the sink behind me.
I startled when I felt a pair of arms thread around my waist, distracting me from my breakfast mission.
"Morning," a gruff accent sounded in my ear.
I immediately smiled at his presence. How was he always so damn sneaky? He was shirtless too, I could feel his warm torso pressed against my back.
"How did you sleep?" I asked him innocently.
"Great, thanks love." He said as I handed him a plate of eggs and toast.
I could hear a door shut behind me as Andrea finally left her bedroom. I turned around to greet her and she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Louis sitting at the kitchen counter shirtless with his plate of eggs.
Neither of us spoke, Andrea was giving me a look that clearly said 'you brought a man back to our apartment?!' while I silently begged her not to awkwardly acknowledge Louis.
Louis who continued to eat his breakfast, completely oblivious to the entire situation.
"Andrea...I made breakfast..." I said awkwardly, holding a plate out towards her with two hands like some kind of peace offering.
She finally moved and took it, walking around me to get a glass from the cabinet and when she did, she leaned down to whisper in my ear.
"Okay, well I didn't know it was that kind of relationship. And I like him by the way, even if he did kidnap you, but that's mostly your fault, you should have outsmarted him."
