I decided against playing it casual and instead placed my hands on his chest as soon as I turned.

"Fancy seeing you here." I smirked, trying to hide how he made my pulse race.

"Come back again, have we love?" He asked, placing his hands on my waist so we looked like we were at a high school dance.

I gave Tommo a smile before glancing around once more for Louis.

He noticed, "looking for someone?"

His accent was so thick, I wondered where he was from.

I shook my head, but decided to press my advantage, I needed to know where Louis was. I took one hand off his chest and twirled my hair around my finger, feigning nervousness.

"I've just heard a thing or two about the guy who owns this place. He's supposed to be scary so my friend told me to look out for him." I looked at him from under my lashes.

He smiled, he didn't seem at all concerned about my mention of Louis. I filed that away in the back of my mind. If Tommo wasn't scared of Louis, he was high enough in the ranks that he must be friends with him, or at least they must get along, which meant Tommo knew Louis for sure.

"He's not so scary," he said with a chuckle.

I smiled again, moving my hand back to his chest so we were back to standing in the prom dance position, our eyes almost level.

"Where is he?" I asked innocently, hoping Tommo would point him out.

Instead he just snickered, "he gets around."

I nodded, but inside my head was spinning. Did he mean Louis wasn't here, or it was none of my business, or did he just not feel like pointing him out?

Tommo took a step closer to me, which was impressive considering how close we were already standing. I gasped in surprise as he then pulled me against him and moved his mouth to my ear.

"Come with me."

His voice was raspy and it sent a shiver down my spine. I followed him, without thinking. He led the way, pulling my hand towards the back of the club. I liked it that he pulled my hand instead of my wrist.

The back corner of the club was dark and secluded from the red and green lights. There were bathrooms on the left side of the wall and a big pair of metal elevator doors. I recognized it as the elevator I had walked out of when leaving Tommo's room.

I knew where this was going and I didn't care. Louis wasn't here anyways.

Just then, a sharp pop sounded, and then the screaming started.

My fighter instincts kicked in and I dropped to the floor, Tommo dropped right next to me. Our breathing heightened as both of our sharpened senses went into overdrive.

"It's a gang raid." He whispered to me, not a trace of panic in his voice.

"What do we need to do?" I could feel my adrenaline pumping but I wasn't afraid either.

"We can't let them hurt any of the guests. These people are innocent."

I nodded, we both army crawled towards the bar, staying out of sight. We ducked behind the bar, our backs pressed up against the cabinets. People seemed to be either screaming and running or lying on the ground with their hands over their heads. The gunman was standing near the exit at the front of the bar. We were going to need to take him out if we were going to get the innocent people out. I couldn't tell if there were any more gunman in the club. It didn't matter, we only needed to get the one blocking the exit.

I was cussing myself out internally for not bringing my gun now. I only had my knife, strapped under my dress, and there was no way I could throw it the distance of the club and still have it carry enough force to kill the gunman. Next to me, Tommo was pulling a handgun out of the waistband of his pants. He was frowning.

"Can you hit him if you stand up quick?" I whispered.

He shook his head, "it's too far, my eyesight isn't good enough for that."

"Give it to me." I held my hands out for the gun.

He handed it to me without question and I didn't have time to ask why. I held the gun down, releasing the safety. I peeked my head above the bar, before standing up, aiming, and pulling the trigger all in one motion.

The gunman in front of the door dropped to the ground, my bullet between his eyes.

People immediately began running out of the club. This was such a well known club, it was sure to make the news. This didn't seem like a gang raid though, there was only one guy.

I didn't realize Tommo had stood up next to me until I heard him sigh.

"This is going to be a mess to deal with." He ran his hand back through his dark hair.

I wondered silently if he was referring to news coverage, I clicked the safety back on and handed him his gun.

"Nice shot." He gives me a nod, "you're just as strong of a fighter as I thought you'd be Kestrel."

Before I could blink, he snapped his arm around and smacked the side of my head with the gun in a lightning fast motion. My head snapped backwards and I went sprawling on the floor, blood pouring into my thick hair.

I was too shocked to try to say anything. I just watched as he knelt down over me. My vision was going hazy and dark at the edges. I could hardly tell when a figure walked up next to Tommo, but I could hear what they said.

"Where do you want me to put her Mr. Tomlinson?"
