"So that means..." I clarified, trying to get him to open up.

I knew whatever it was had to be bad if he was coming to me for help instead of his friends. He always went to Niall or Liam when he had a problem, but instead he came to me, which immediately made me think that this had something to do with Harry, since Niall and Liam were also Harry's friends.

"My aunt called."

Well that wasn't what I expected.

"Why is that a bad thing? You love your aunt." I asked him, running my fingers through his soft hair.

He sighed at the gentle touch, closing his eyes when he spoke.

"She wants Harry and I to come home for Christmas, I haven't been to see her since my uncle's funeral."

I was so confused now.

"So are you nervous about going to see her?"

He shook his head, rolling over onto his side and putting his head in my lap like a sad puppy while I continued to stroke through his hair.

"It's not that I'm nervous, I just don't want to hear what she's going to say about Harry and I not getting along for such a long time, she wanted us to stick together and we didn't, we also fucked up things with the gang and neither of us has called her in months. She's got every right to be pissed and tell us to never speak to her again."

I could tell this was really eating at him, but I also knew that there was no way his aunt hated him or Harry for what happened. It wasn't their fault that their uncle died, and if she loved them half as much as Louis loved her, she would just be happy to see them.

I also seriously doubted she invited them for  Christmas to shout at them.

"Lou," I said softly, being as gentle as I could with my words, "she loves you and Harry, there's no way she'd ask you to come to town only to shout at you. She knows what happened with your uncle was an accident as much as I do. She just misses you. You and Harry are the only family she has, she won't want to lose you."

Louis pinched his brows together and I could tell he was trying to figure out whether or not I was telling the truth.

I let him have his time to think, enjoying the way he was letting me coddle him at the moment.

Finally, he spoke.

"I told her I have a girlfriend."

He blurted it out like he had done something he shouldn't have, his eyes roaming over my face, trying to judge my reaction to see if I was angry with him.

He had told his aunt about me.

My chest felt so warm, I had no idea so few words could make me so happy. The fact that he had cared enough to tell his mother figure about me was huge and I couldn't help the giant smile that lit up my face.

"You did?"

He nodded, relaxing once he realized I wasn't upset about it.

I wondered if I should drop it there, but as per usual, my curiosity got the better of me.

"What did she say?"

A smile pulled up at the corners of his mouth, "she said she wanted to meet you."
