Technoblade looked around. He was still a bit bewildered about this whole king thing, but at least he had his friends by his side. He turned to glance at Dream and Tommy who stood beside him.
"Hello, my nerds," Techno said, smiling down at his new kingdom. They looked up at him expectantly and he scratched the back of his head nervously. "So, Tubbo once asked me 'what's a king with a crown when he has no throne?' Or something like that, and so I've decided to build some houses. No kingdom, no walls, just some houses for all you guys."
"You're building houses for us?" Eret asked. "All of us?"
"I mean, that's the idea." Techno shrugged. "So, I need some ideas. If you want to live with a few friends then let's build some cabins. Or we could just build a little village altogether, what will it be my nerds?" Techno had started calling his people his nerds, so that's what he referred to them as now. "Raise a hand if you want a few big cabins," he said. Ranboo, Eret, George, Dream, Sapnap, and Tommy all raised their hands while the others kept theirs lowered.
"So, that's quite a few." Dream said.
"Now, to build small houses raise a hand," Techno said. Fundy, Tubbo, BadBoyHalo, Skeppy, Niki, and Sam raised their hands. "Alrighty then..." Techno sighed.
"It's your decision then," Tubbo said from below him. "I mean, you are the king after all."
"Ok." Techno sighed. "I guess this is what I signed up for when I won that fight, isn't it." He muttered.
"Just make a decision." Tommy gave him a rough nudge and Techno growled at him.
"Alright alright," Techno said, shooting his brother a glare. "Don't make me revoke your leadership." He snorted jokingly. Tommy rolled his eyes and Techno felt another nudge and turned to see Dream glaring at him. "Ok, let's build some houses. And those of you that want to live with your friends can be neighbors, sound cool?" He said. Technoblade was pleased to see most people nodding. "Ok, Tommy I want you to take some people and mine a bunch of stone, Dream get people to cut some trees down for wood, I'll take the rest to clear out some more land around L'manfield where we'll build it."
"Ok, Fundy, Eret, Bad with me." Dream called, nodding towards the woods.
"Skeppy, Tubbo, Niki, and Sam with me," Tommy said, hopping off a little rock he had been standing on.
"And that leaves the unluckiest to head out with me," Techno said jokingly, sliding off the rock as well. Ranboo, George, and Sapnap headed after Technoblade as he led the way to L'manfield. He wasn't entirely sure how to bend his view of hating the government into leading one but he decided he'd figure that out eventually. For now, these people needed a strong leader and he was the only one qualified to lead them. Or at least the only one they'll listen to that's not from L'manburg. He thought.
"So, are we just rebuilding L'manburg?" Sapnap asked.
"No," Techno said. "I'll come up with a cool name eventually but for now you all are just 'my nerds.'" He shrugged.
"Alright," Sapnap said. Techno gave each of the men around him iron axes and they started chopping down the trees to clear a larger area for homes. The sun was beginning to set when Techno finally decided enough was enough.
"That should do it, boys." He said. "Let's head back to the others." He turned to look at Ranboo and George who were heading towards him when he heard something like a twig snap behind him. Instinctively he turned around and pointed his ax in the direction of the noise, narrowing his eyes. "Who goes there?" He asked tentatively, backing up so that he was closer to the others who all pointed their axes as well. "Show yourself." He hissed. He tensed as there was a rustle in the bushes and four people emerged all holding diamond swords.
"Hello," The leader, a woman by the sound of it, said. Techno studied her, she was wearing a white sweatshirt with rainbow edging her hood and wrists, a white mesh blocked her face from view. She also had white sweatpants with rainbow edging her ankles and white shoes with rainbow on the bottoms. "We mean no harm." Techno lowered his sword and turned to the others.
"Hi," Another woman with bright orange hair tipped with a teal color said. She was wearing a white shirt with an unzipped blue sweater and blue jeans. There was a man behind her with blond hair and dark brown eyes. He wore a tan and brown plaid shirt with jeans. The other man had dark brown hair, he was taller than both the girls and the other man just by a little bit and he wore a black t-shirt and brown shorts.
"Uh, hello," Techno said. "I'm Technoblade, the current king of these lands and these are my ne- friends." He stopped himself from saying nerds.
"I'm Squeesh, pleased to meet you." The lead woman said. She sounded young, maybe Tommy's age, and she turned to her friends. "This is my sister, TealFox, but you can call her Fox." Fox nodded, her green eyes reminded Technoblade of Antfrost's and he felt a pang in his heart.
"I'm Sawyer," The tallest man said, his brown eyes reflecting golden in the sunlight.
"Fishy, pleased to meet you." The blond man said, nodding to Technoblade.
"We should take them back to Dream and Tommy to decide what to do with them," George hissed in Techno's ear.
"They don't look threatening, they're just kids." Techno shrugged.
"Alright," George sighed.
"Let's get you back to camp," Techno said. Fishy, Sawyer, Fox, and Squeesh all followed Techno and the others back to camp. The last rays of sunlight warmed Techno and he sighed, feeling that today was a good day.
New book, baby! Alright, I'll be quiet.
