Technoblade was feeling better now, it had been seven days since Dream had left and there had been no more attempts at assassination, which was both relieving to Techno and quite saddening. They stopped when Dream left, so I know now for certain that it was him. Techno vowed silently that he would not let Dream near any of his people until he pleaded guilty.
"Hey, Tommy, mind helping?" Techno grunted, trying to fix a board onto part of the roof of the house he was building. Tommy looked up from where he was staring at in the grass and nodded, climbing up a ladder and helping Technoblade lift the board onto the roof. "Thanks."
"Yeah," Tommy said, sounding distracted. Techno took a break from placing boards and watched his brother for a moment. Tommy seemed lost in thought, he had since Dream had left and Techno was worried that Tommy would run after the exile.
"What's on your mind?" Techno asked tentatively. Tommy looked up again.
"Oh, nothing," He said quickly. "Uh, one of my friends' birthday is coming up, I just don't know what to get her," Tommy confessed. Squeesh? Techno thought, his gaze softening.
"Ah, I see," Techno said, giving Tommy a playful nudge. "Is this the one you like?" He asked casually. Tommy's face grew red and he stared at Techno in shock.
"How did you know?" He hissed, glancing around warily. "If Tubbo told you I swear I'll-" He started.
"No, Tubbo didn't tell me," Techno lied. "I can just tell." He shrugged. He didn't want to get Tubbo in trouble, plus, it was kinda obvious if you gathered the clues.
"What do I get her?" Tommy sighed, rolling his eyes. "Not that you'd know or anything." He muttered.
"What do you mean 'not that I'd know?'" Techno scoffed.
"You've never had a girlfriend." Tommy pointed out.
"Neither have you, Tomathy." Techno snickered.
"Get to the point, any ideas?" Tommy grumbled.
"I've attended very few parties," Techno said. "But every girl I've met likes flower. You can't go wrong there."
"Noted," Tommy said.
"What can you tell me about her?" Techno asked.
"She loves the stream. And pushing me into the stream," he chuckled. Techno smiled, he liked seeing his brother so happy, and although Squeesh was a bit weird at times, if she made him happy he would do anything and everything in his power to ensure they stayed together.
"Take her to the stream then." Techno shrugged.
"But I can do that any day," Tommy pointed out.
"Well, make it look special or something," Techno added. "Plant some flowers, I dunno." He shrugged.
"Ok, bye Techno," Tommy said, turning around and bounding back across the field. Techno shook his head and sighed, letting out a chuckle. Tommy's more socially awkward than I thought. He mused. He grunted as he placed another board in place and sighed, realizing it would be much easier with someone else.
"Hey Dream! Can you-" He stopped himself as he remembered where Dream was. Or at least what had happened, he didn't exactly know where Dream was. "Er- Tubbo?" He said after a moment, turning to Tubbo who had been watching him. Tubbo's blue eyes shone with sympathy and he headed towards Techno.
"Sure." Tubbo climbed up beside him and helping hoist a final board into place. "I told you so." Techno glanced at Tubbo as he muttered something under his breath. Tubbo realized Techno had heard and his eyes widened. "Er- I mean I-"
"What do you mean you told me so?" Techno asked, a bit confused. Tubbo stared at him for a while before letting out a sigh.
"None of you listened to me," Tubbo muttered. "I told you Dream would never learn to behave, you still didn't listen after he killed me and Phil." Tubbo sounded a little hurt for a moment as he spoke and Techno didn't judge him for it. He was right, Dream had killed Tubbo out of pure rage and then Phil in a battle that could have easily been solved with words. "So... I guess I told you so." Tubbo shrugged.
"I suppose." Techno sighed. "But part of me still doesn't believe he would do that." He added a little quieter. Tubbo gave him an unconvinced look but didn't protest.
"Well, we're done," Tubbo said. "We only have one more house to build, right?" Techno looked around. He was exhausted but pleased at his work and he nodded.
"Just one more house." He agreed. "But we'll save that for tomorrow." The sun was still high above their heads but Techno was exhausted. He thought he and everyone else deserved a day of rest. "You should go find Tommy, he might need some help."
"With what?" Tubbo asked, confused.
"You'll see. He's at the stream." Techno said with a grin. Tubbo shrugged and raced away happily, leaving Techno to examine his work. He sighed and made his way to the big rock in the center of their new little town. That's what I'll do. Come up with a name for this place. Techno sat down on the edge of the rock and let his legs dangle over the edge.
"What do I want this town to be known for," Techno muttered to himself. "Freedom, mercy, nobility..." He muttered. Something like... Potatoville. He chuckled and shook the thought away. Squidburg? Techno squinted. What is wrong with me. He thought. Pigland. I love pigs. Pigs are cool. Techno thought.
"Hi Technoblade." Techno looked below him and saw Squeesh starring up at him. Is she going to ask more weird questions? Techno thought as Squeesh climbed up beside him and sat down.
"Hello," He said with a nod. "What have you been up to?" He asked.
"Building," Squeesh shrugged. "Listen, there's something I need to tell you about my friends. A little while ago you almost got murdered and I-"
"Squeesh!" Techno looked down as he spotted Sawyer, Fishy, and Fox staring up at them. "What are you talking about?" Squeesh said nothing for a moment. "Why don't you come hang out with us for a while?" Sawyer called.
"I was... I... I wanted to talk to-" Squeesh stuttered.
"I said, how about you come hang out with us?" Sawyer said, smiling slightly What's going on... Techno wondered, a bit confused. Sawyer sounds happy... why does Squeesh sound scared? Is there something I don't know about? "We've got a surprise for you, will you please come?"
"Sawyer asked you to come with us, Squeesh," Fox said. "You coming?" Squeesh said nothing for a moment and turned to look at Techno.
"I- I'm coming," Squeesh muttered, sliding down the rock.
"Alright, by then," Techno said. He narrowed his eyes as Fishy and Sawyer each grabbed one of Sqeesh's wrists and led her into the woods in the direction of the stream. I wonder what's wrong with them... Techno thought. But I know something isn't right here.
I don't have much to say right now so... :P
