Double Ending

"I... can't choose."

"Huh?" Komaeda questioned. "Why are you talking about?"

"(Y/n)... I'm a little confused..." Hajime replied, nervously staring down at the ground as he spoke.

"I thought about it. A lot. But when it comes down to it, I realized I can't pick between the two of you. I have so much love for both of you, and you both care for me and protect me in so many different ways. I hope this doesn't sound too selfish, but I can't choose just one of you. I love you both."

It was painfully silent for a moment, the crashing of waves serving as the only noise in the background. Then, to my surprise, Komaeda spoke up.

"I love you too, (y/n)," he replied. "And I don't mind at all. Just to be in your presence is enough, and I can't bear to be without you. If it means sharing you, I couldn't care less."

"...me neither," Hajime admitted. "Though I would want you all to myself, I love you too much to keep you that way. You make me so happy, and I can't bear the thought of living without you."

My eyes widened in disbelief, as I shifted my gaze between the two of them. Were they being serious? Was I dreaming?

I felt my eyes well up with tears, a small smile curling onto my lips. "Komaeda... Hajime..." I breathed, my voice wavering as I spoke.

Suddenly, to my surprise, both boys pulled me into their embrace, and I let myself be taken by their grasp.

"Don't cry, (y/n)," Komaeda soothed, running his bony fingers through my hair. "It's ok."

The two boys then pulled away from me, and I simply stared at them in awe and disbelief. "Am I dreaming?"

Hajime let out a small chuckle. "No, silly. You aren't. Komaeda and I actually discussed this before, actually. We both swore that we would put our differences aside and love you (y/n), no matter who you chose. And since you chose both of us, we will both dedicate ourselves to loving and protecting you."

I smiled at them, wiping the tears away from my eyes. "I love you both, too. So much. I am so lucky to have you guys..."

"We love you too," Komaeda replied with a small smile, planting a kiss on my forehead. "So stop crying, ok?"

I nodded, beaming at the two boys.

Though I was unsure of what the future held, I was excited to spend it with the two of them at my side. Hopefully we would leave this island together one day.

But for now, spending time with the two of them was more than enough for me.
