After Komaeda kissed me so suddenly, I quickly pushed past him through the doorway. As I sprinted away, I turned my head to realize the he was following me with a nonchalant strut. I felt nauseous when I saw his calm demeanor, so I picked up the pace as I rushed down a flight of stairs.

Once on the first floor, I was able to finally meet some of the others. Among them was Hajime, who was eyeing me in a mixture of suspicion and worry. I keeled over to catch my breath, panting like a dog.

"(Y/n)? What's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost..." he muttered nervously, crossing his arms. I looked up at him wordlessly, deciding it would be best to formulate some type of excuse.

"I... uh... don't worry... just felt like running!" I laughed between breaths. Once I regained my health, Hajime and I made our way through the rest of strawberry house together. Soon, we found ourselves at grape house, so we proceeded to explore the bulk of that as well before meeting up with the others.

However, we soon came to the realization that there was  no way out of the funhouse. In fact, we were trapped in there without food until someone committed a murder. We all decided to divide up into the rooms hesitantly, as most of us were still in disbelief.

Eventually, I found myself settling into the normal suite of grape house. Once inside, I felt some strange reassurance despite the strange grape wallpaper everywhere. The only people staying near me were Hajime and the girls, all of whom I trusted wholeheartedly.

It was late in the night when I heard someone knock at my door. I stood up to answer it, still full of energy from eating earlier in the day. Hajime stood at the other side, eyes glued to the ground.

"...Hinata?" I stuttered, my voice startling the boy. "What are you doing here?"

"I, uh, wanted to make sure you were ok. Can I come in?" He asked nervously. I nodded, stepping out of the way to allow the brunette entry.

"What's the matter?"

"You can talk to me, now..." he asserted, though his tone remained unsure. "Tell me what happened earlier. Please, I'm worried."

My heart began to race, though I tried to remain as calm-looking as possible. Should I really lie to him again, or should I risk telling him the truth? I collapsed on the bed, still deliberating.

"(Y/n)... come on," he begged, sitting down on the foot of my bed. "You're safe now, here. I want you to trust me...."

"I'll tell you if you cuddle me," I fake-pouted. To my surprise, the brunette actually complied, wrapping his arms around me defensively. "Now, will you tell me?"

I cleared my throat. "Well... it's kind of hard to explain. Komaeda trapped me in one of the deluxe rooms and started to yell at me. Apparently he saw us together last night... I got so scared, I dashed off."

"Son of a... are you sure that's all?" Hajime asked, his grip around me tightening. I nodded slowly, burying my face in his chest. "You don't need to stay in that crappy room... just stay here with me."

The two of us eventually drifted off, slowly waking to a dimly lit room at the exact same time. "There's no announcement... weird. We're used to the announcement wake ups, I suppose."

"You're right," I chuckled, weakly following him out of my room. The two of us spent the bulk of the day together, trying to make the most of it despite slowly growing weaker. Eventually, I had to wobble up to my feet and excuse myself to the bathroom.

Once I was washing my hands, I saw a thin figure appear behind me in the mirror. I jumped and saw Komaeda standing behind me; gazing at me with half lidded eyes.

"Stay away from me..." I begged nervously. "Don't hurt me... I'm too weak to fight you back."

The boy drew closer to me, but I was frozen in place. Suddenly, he threw his arms around me in a tight embrace. "(Y/n)... I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me... I let my jealously get the best of me... please forgive me, I beg you...."

"Komaeda, I ca-can't breathe," I choked, him suddenly letting go of me. "You're in the girl's bathroom, you know. Let's talk out of here, shall we?"

I led Komaeda into grape tower, which was empty but someone could still easily come to my rescue if he tried to harm me. I collapsed onto the ground, staring up at the endless ceiling.

"Trash like me doesn't deserve forgiveness," he muttered as he followed suit.

"You do. I forgive you."

"Really?!" He exclaimed in delight, a smile on his face. I nodded in affirmation, his grey eyes glittering. "(Y/n)... thank you so much!"

"Don't thank me," I growled. Komaeda slowly inched closer towards me, slowly sitting up. I did so as well, though he then patted his lap for me to sit in.

"That's embarrassing..." I stammered nervously. He nodded wordlessly, opting to lay back down. I positioned my head on his stomach, the two of us relaxing in silence.

After a while, I felt myself slowly drift half asleep. A pair of arms wrapped themselves around me, carrying me back to my room. I had my covers wrapped around me, a tiny kiss planted on my forehead. Just before the source of the arms left, and just before I fell completely asleep, I heard it murmur something to me.

"I love you, (y/n)."
