It was another cloudy day.

This time, worse than before. The wave crashed hard across the beach, the gulls chirping in distress. You could tell for sure that something was coming-- but no one knew exactly what. But whatever it was, you could tell that it was going to be dangerous.

I sat at a far table in the restaurant, slumped over my tea. Suddenly, everyone spurred into a fit of chaos. It wasn't just any old storm- it was a tsunami. Hurriedly, we all scurried to leave the restaurant and head to the pharmacy on the second island, as it was on the complete other side from where the storm was hitting. As we were rushed out, i suddenly had a shocking realization.

Komaeda was still tied up in the old building.

I turned around sharply, sprinting towards the building. The rain was crashing down, my entire body sopping wet. I left wet footprints in my wake as I made it to the party room. It felt like we had the party an eternity ago, but it was only a mere few days since then. Komaeda lied down facing me on the ground, a look of concern in his silvery eyes.

"(Y/n)-chan... you're soaking wet. Why did you come to see trash like me? It's really coming down out there." I merely ignored his rambling, working with shaky hands to remove him of his metal chains.

"There'satsunamicoming," I exclaimed as if it was one long word. Thankfully, Souda and Nekomaru weren't the brightest, so the keys to Komaeda's chains sat at the party table closest by. I quickly unlocked them with a "click", proceeding to unwrap the chains from around him. He wobbled up to his feet, like a deer learning to walk for the first time.

"If you're serious," he snickered, his eyes suddenly changing to become helical, "than we better hurry! In order to preserve the shining hope within your ultimate talent-"

"How the hell can you be so calm, we have to go," I whispered. Suddenly, he blinked a few times and was back to his normal self. After giving a small determined nod, he grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him. I felt my heart race as we ran out of the building together, braving the harsh rain-pour outside.

"We need to go to the pharmacy," I yelled in between shallow breaths, which were just barely understandable to him. We veered towards the second bridge, my vision growing hazy as the image of the pharmacy expanded into plain view. I felt my legs grow weaker as we came to a grinding halt, and I eventually needed to brace myself on Komaeda's shoulder. When we walked inside, everyone was thankfully safe and calm, for the most part. However, our arrival provoked quite a strong reaction among our classmates.

"GAH! WHO LET THAT CREEP FREE?!" Souda screamed, clutching on to his beanie. I felt my head grow dizzier, as I nearly collapsed on to the floor. Komaeda thankfully caught me, which only caused stronger reactions.

"Did y-you h-hurt her?!" Mikan half-whimpered, half-shrieked.

"No!" Komaeda yelled abruptly, a strange seriousness in his demeanor. "She let me free when the storm was coming. To save trash like me... and get away with it.... that is such a hopeful feat for the Ultimate Bad Luck!"

"Unhand her, mortal!" A voice I could only assume to belong to Gundham commanded. I was suddenly lifted off of the ground gently, then being placed in what I assumed to be a beach chair. My eyes remained closed, as my vision was too blurry and it only made me more dizzy to open my eyes.

"Is she hurt?" Hinata's voice asked, accompanied by footsteps increasing in volume. I felt a warm towel press against my face, ridding me of the rain water plastered to it. It then patted down my entire body, shifting me from being sopping wet to only mildly damp. I felt a pair of small hand touch my forehead and heart, those of which I could only assume belonged to Mikan.

"She's alright, probably just fatigued and overworked," Mikan concluded. "With a bit of rest and relaxation, she a-should be b-back to normal..."

"Thank you, Mikan!" Hajime's voice exclaimed. Hazily, I lifted my eyelids. I saw Hajime and Mikan in front of me, though Komaeda was nowhere to be seen. The other Ultimates sat together in the distance, absorbed in their own activities amongst themselves. I felt a small smile curl on to my lips as I slumped over into my seat, drifting off to sleep.

I woke up in what I assumed to be my cottage, completely dry and healthy. I rubbed my eyes as I rolled out of bed, slowly making my way out of the cabin. On my way out, I happened to take a glance at the nameplate on the door, and I felt my heart nearly stop beating.

I had slept in Hajime's cottage.

I had no idea how, nor why, but he wasn't around to confront. I trudged towards the restaurant, flinging myself through the door. None of the buildings on the island seemed to be destroyed, which meant the tsunami was only a small one. Once inside the restaurant, I quickly ran up to Hajime and tapped him on the shoulder. He was absorbed in a conversation with Chiaki, though he quickly shifted his attention to me.

"Oh, good morning, (y/n)-chan. Are you feeling alright?"

"Why... did I sleep in your cottage?!" I screamed in confusion. His Olive eyes widened slightly at my question. "Did you sleep in there with me? Why?"

"I wanted to make sure you woke up alright," he justified with a sincere smile. "you were sick, remember? And don't worry, I didn't even lay a finger on that bed last night. I slept in the chair nearby."

I felt tears form at the corners of my eyes.

"Thank you, Hinata-Kun," I exclaimed as I pulled him into a hug. I figured I should probably also thank Komaeda for looking out for me, though I couldn't find him anywhere.

Where had he went off to?
