"Chelsea." A familiar voice caused the woman with blonde hair to jolt awake from her sleep deprived nap. "Beckett." She said as she looked to the doorway to her barracks. "Funny seeing you here." She mused but Beckett didn't seem to find it amusing. His face was incredibly pale and all in all he looked as if he had seen a ghost. "What's wrong?" Chelsea asked as she stood from her bunk. "We found it." He replied and Chelsea froze. She knew what he meant but at the same time she didn't want to believe it. "Found what?" She asked, dark eyes narrowing at him. "Chelsea," the captain repeated, an emphasis added to his words as his speech held great gravity to itself. "We found her." "Oh my god."

"Keys!" Chelsea shouted and Beckett tossed her the pair of keys that hung by the door on a peg underneath the words that were written in sharpie on a piece of white electrical tape that read "ANDERSON". Each cadet in these barracks were aloud to have a car on the premises of the Air Force base and they all hung their keys on a series of pegs by the door with their last names written above all their keys. Kira's pair had remainder dormant for quite a few days now. "I'll drive. You tell me where to go." Chelsea told Cameron as she lead the way out of the barracks and to the outside of the air force base where her black Jeep waited in the bright California sunlight. She was quick to get in the drivers side and turn the car on as Cameron Beckett quickly got in the passenger seat, ready to tell her exactly where they needed to go to find their lost friend and fellow soldier, Kira Stacey. Or at least what was left of her.

The eagles of Edward's Air Force Base had been doing routine fly overs of the local area to find kira's missing plane "Sniper." They surveyed the area where they lost contact with her the most until they finally found her crashed plane about three miles south of where she cut out of contact. And that's where Chelsea's Jeep rolled up to. But oddly enough, upon their arrival they noticed several government blacked out cars and policemen and an ambulance. Chelsea quickly brought her Jeep to a stop and put it in park before hopping out and trotting over to the crash sight that was buzzing with government officials with Captain Beckett at her heals.

"What the hell is going on here?" Chelsea demanded as she approached the scene. "Ma'am," a government official quickly approached her and cautioned her. "This is official government business. I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Chelsea scoffed. "That's bullshit." She hissed. "My name is cadet Chelsea Anderson and I'm assisted by Captain Cameron Beckett. Where is Kira Stacey? The woman who flew this plane." She demanded. "Chelsea you may want to calm down." Cameron warned but Chelsea refused to listen. "Where the hell is she? She's my best friend and I know you know where she is." The government official sighed. "Ma'am." He said as his voice lowered. "I'm sorry to tell you this, but miss Stacey didn't make it. She was pronounced dead as soon as we found her."
🪐
Chelsea grew silent. She let the words sink in. "No." She snapped. "Where's the body." She demanded. "There's no way Kira's dead." She added. "I want to see the body." She added as she tried to push past the government official. "Ma'am I can't allow that." He replied as he tried to stop her. "She's not dead. I know it. I can feel it." Chelsea persisted. It was strange and no one would probably Believe her anyways but she could sense Kira's life and light. Her friend wasn't dead and something wasn't adding up. "You're lying." She said as she narrowed her eyes at the man. "What?" He snapped. "I am not!" He persisted. "Chelsea, maybe you should calm down." Beckett said as he came to her side. "I'm sure this is a shock to both of you." The man told them. "Denial is one of the first stages." He added. Chelsea wasn't buying it. She refused to believe that Kira was gone. "Let me see the body and I'll Believe your bullshit." The man sighed. "I can't allow that. Not at this time. The body is going to be brought in for an autopsy then released to the family so they can chose what to do with it. You'll have to wait until it's in the possession of the family if you want to see it." Chelsea glared at him. "Look, Chelsea, let's head back. We both have things we need to do back on base." Cameron said as he tugged on her arm. "Beckett." She began but he was tired of her stubbornness that she had clearly picked up from Kira. "Anderson I will pull the captain card on you, don't make me do that." He said with much more force in his voice. Chelsea sighed. "Fine." She agreed, heading back to her Jeep to drive them back to the base. But she knew as well as he did that this wasn't over yet. Kira was alive.
