"Our O.W.L.s are only a month away!" Hermione scoffed, "What do you mean that you haven't been studying?"
"It means that I haven't started!" Ron protested through his chews, "I've been overwhelmed with school work!"
"Me too," I sighed, picking through the food on my plate, "I've spent more time cleaning cauldrons for Snape than on my actual work."
"I'm sure you'll be fine for the D.A.D.A. exam, Ron," Neville assured, "I'm doing much better in the class thanks to Harry."
"That is very true," Hermione insisted, "But you should start studying for your other subjects, you can join Dawn, Neville, and I in the common room later for our study session."
"Since when was I coming to that?" Neville protested, "No, that is only you two!"
"C'mon, Nev..." I begged, "It will be fun!"
"Since when is studying fun?" Ron scoffed, "Besides... I don't want to third-wheel."
"You're not going to third-wheel, Ron!" Hermione chuckled, "I'm going to be there!"
"Even better..." Ron seethed sarcastically, stuffing more sausages in his mouth.
Hermione slammed her textbooks on the table before walking off. Ron's comment must've upset her. Neville and I watched in shock as Hermione stormed out of the Great Hall. Ron watched as well, the sausage he was chewing slowly falling from his mouth.
"EW!" I exclaimed when the sausage hit the table, "RON... CHEW WITH YOUR MOUTH CLOSED!"
Ron glared at me before picking up another sausage with his fork and shoving it into his mouth. He then leaned into the table, chewing the sausage with his mouth wide-open.
"IS THAT BETTER, DAWN?" Ron joked.
I exclaimed disgustedly, backing away from him. I used my fork to pick up one of my half-eaten sausages, flinging it at him. The half-eaten sausage hit the side of his face, causing Ron to shriek and gag.
"DAWN!" Ron whined, "WHAT THE BLOODY HELL WAS THAT FOR?"
"For not chewing with your mouth closed..." I scoffed.
"That was ghastly!" Ron exclaimed, facing Neville, "Her spit was all over that!"
"Okay?" Neville shrugged, "What's wrong with that?"
"Well, you two share spit all the time," Ron scoffed, "But Dawn and I don't... nor would I like to."
"Are you calling me ugly?" I spat, jokingly taking offense to Ron's comment.
Ron rolled his eyes at me, shaking his head, "You two can eat rocks... Where's Harry? I'm tired of third-wheeling."
Neville shrugged, "Not sure. I haven't seen him at all this morning."
"I haven't either," I added in, "But we ought to head to class... breakfast ends in ten minutes. You coming with, Nev?"
Neville nodded in response. The two of us collected our things before leaving the Great Hall. Ron refused to join us, insisting that he'd wait in the Great Hall until Harry appeared.
I had Muggle Studies as my first class. I've taken it for many years and have always found it fascinating. Of course, my parents didn't know that I took it, but it was one of my favorite classes. In the past years, we've learned about different muggle items and how to use them. One of my favorite objects was a telephone. It was like an owl... except I didn't have to wait hours to contact somebody.
