STORY UPDATE!

Hello Wattpad!

It has been nearly three years since I've posted anything for this book on here—CRAZY!!!

Anyway, last year I began transferring this book to ao3 after a shit-post TikTok I uploaded about it blew up and many requested it. And around this time was when I first read the entire book front-to-back. After doing this, I very quickly decided that if I was going to have to go through every chapter anyway to complete the transfer, I might as well have fixed everything I didn't like... which naturally meant most of fifth-year since I wrote those chapters six years ago.

As far as the ao3 rewrite goes, every fifth-year chapter has been uploaded and up to chap 42 is written—just not edited because I'm lowkenuinely lazy asf.

If you liked this book, please feel free to read it on there! The story is the same—for the most part—just some parts are expanded on and, of course, I fixed things I thought were necessary. HOWEVERRRRRR, I've been thinking about transferring the rewrite onto here as well, which would kinda nix all the old writing.

Hi, everyone!

With the terms of service that were rolled out today, I won't be posting the updated version of The Light in the Dark on Wattpad, since this book easily violates many of those new rules. The Light in the Dark has been moved in its entirety to AO3, so even if it gets taken down, I have it saved there as I continue to rewrite the story.

CLOCKED OUT, my Fred Weasley book, has also been transferred to this platform and will only be updated on there.
