"French fries bitches!" Emmy screamed in the middle of the food court. Curious looks were thrown our way, and I bowed my head, stiffling laughter. This girl had a freaking obsession with fries, did I recently find out. The moment we stepped foot in the mall, off to the food court she ran. I barely caught up to her before she had two large orders o salted fries and a medium chocolate milkshake.
"Damnit, Em! People can hear you, you know!" I said through a fit off giggles. I tried saying it with a straight face, but, I failed, causing my muscles to twitch at an alarming once. Emmy flashed an entertained smile, brushing hair from her eyes and popping another fry in her mouth and taking a swig from her shake, "and why would I care?" She smirked, probably feeling smug. I rolled my eyes,
"Oh I don't know, never, maybe. Maybe you should, maybe one day, one of these people will be your manager, or employer, and decide, ' Oh yeah, I remember her at the mall. She was insane, screaming about french fries and shut, I dont think I want to hire her." She gave me a steady glare. I shrugged, consuming a handful of fries. "Just saying."
She got up, and walked away, to a trash can, throwing away used napkins, then going back up to most likely order more food. This girl ate mire than I did, which was odd. She was so sickenly skinny...
I let my thought trail, when I heard the chair squeak, and a body sat down in it. "Hey E- Hey, what the hell, someone's sitting here." I said. That Blue haired guy was facing me, string directly into my eyes. His cold, ice eyes pierced through me, sending shivers down my spine. "Oh, sorry. I just came here to talk. Do you mind?" Actually, I did. But curiosity got the best of me. So, I shrugged. "Okay, what is it?" He seemed hesitatnt, biting his lip nerovusly, glancing aorund.
"Well, I was wondering... Are you Emmy's boyfriend? Or, what are you?" Psh, wow. "No, I'm not her boyfriend. we're just friends."I stated bluntly. He sighed, looking releived. This was frustrating, personally. Since when did this guy suddenly think he had the right to come and ask stupid questions? Why didn't he just ask her himself?
"Oh, okay. I was just curious... By the way, I'm Blaze. I'm gay, as well. But don't let that bother you, if you're that kind of guy." He smiles, and holds his hand out. I froze. Did he just say he was gay? Well, fuck. Guess I was wrong. I felt better suddenly, smiling back, and gripping his hand firmly and shaking. "Asher."
He held on a moment too long, and quickjly pulled away. He averted eye contact awkwardly. Suddenly, he coughed. "Well, I-I guess I'll be going then." He got up fromhis chair. Before leaving he slipped a small sheet of paper across the table, and strtted away into the crowds of people aorund me.
Opening it, Emmy came back. I looked back up at her, and her mouth was stuffed with fries, of course. "eat anymore and you'll gain weight." I said playfully. She just shurgged, and continued eating. "So what was up with Blaze?" She asked. I nodded, " Yeah,um, he just came over here, confessed he was gay, slippedme this..." I held up the paper, which turned out to be his number. "And left without a word." She laughed. "Oh, someone's interested in youuuuu!" She teased. "I thought he was after you before." I said. It looked as if he was fliritng.
"No, when we went to Hottopic he had asked me to give him your number. But I told him he needed to get it himself if he wanted it, otherwise he'd never get anywhere." I glared. "He isn't getting anywhere anyways. I'm not gay." I got up. "I'm going to the bathroom.
