*Destry's Point of View*
Smoothing my hands gently across my wrinkled shirt, I rose from my position by the window.
Everyone had gathered around the large Television in the room, concentrating on the whimsical images projecting on the screen. I nodded my head, and rolled my eyes, glancing at the ceiling. Animation, I thouht shrewdly.
I passed, taking myself to the kitchen, and perched myself quietly on the marvel counter, leaning against the fridge, and opening the door quietly.
Cool air drifted around me, sending shivers along my spine. I shake, quickly grabbing a can of Monster, and hastily shutting the door.
The can opens with a pop, and the faint pattering of footsteps meets my ears. Sipping from my drink, my eyes follow the floor, and I find myself gazing into the ice Blue gaze of Asher.
What does he want? I think bitterly.
Surely nothing this kid has to say can be worth my time.
I sigh, and raise my eyebrows, showing clear irritation.
He didn't seem to receive the signal.
"Hi. Um, Destry, right?" He says nervously.
I smirk. Wow, he remembers my name. My subconscious claps with sarcasm.
"Yes. Asher. What do you want?" I ask cooly, and sip once again my drink.
He glances behind him, at the others. They all were preoccupied by the childish animation before them. Something about this made me narrow my eyes.
"W-w-well I just wanted to talk to you a-a-about Des. Y-you two seem, um, close?" He has difficulty speaking.
I fell my brow furrow. Close? She was a sister to me. Close doesn't even come- mind the lack of a better word close to the description of our relationship. I discreetly discard the matter.
What really mattered was his attention on Des.
I smirk, taking this as an oppurtunity. Oh yes, talk to me Ashey boy.
"Well, it seems that her and Em don't seem to... take a liking to one another."
I stare bleakly at him.
"Why are you coming to ME about this?"
Really, how am I to solve this?
"I was just.... hell, never mind." He mumbles disappointment dripping from his tone.
I shrug.
Or maybe youre too fucking stupid to realize they both have feelings for you.
I say silently. This fool was oblvious. Charming, but incredibly oblivious.
Asher stared at me with a look of shock. I cock my head questioningly.
He looks down, flushing crimson.
Did I say that outloud...? I pinch my theigh.
"Yes, you did... do you really beleive that?" He whispers.
I set my drink down impatiently, and cough.
"Yes. You're an idiot for not noticing. Now, I'll be off."
Hopping off the counter, I stroll to the bathroom, feeling smug.
