---Graham---

The smell of tulips filled my nose.

I breathed in the sweet scent, and smiled to myself.

The air around me was warm.

I snuggles into the warm flannel blanket I laid on, and flickered my eyes open.

They felt a bit heavy, but nonetheless, I felt refreshed.

But not better.

No, nothing could ever change what I did.

It was my guilt to bear.

An ache rose in my chest.

I sighed, breathing in heavily.

The chattering of birds filled the silence, singing their joyous tune.

Rays of sun shone in any cracks and seperations between the grassy strands of the great willow.

It was beautiful.

It was like a dream...

This place never ceased to comfort my spirits...

Ever since dad died....

I said my parents were in Paris.

The man who I know called my father adopted me when I was only nine, two years after dad was killed.

It was like any other day in my happy childhood.

Dad and I were out driving, readying for a day of football.

We drove down a dirt road, which quickly cleared up, into the tar roads.

Dad reached over and tickled me.

I screamed in laughter, fighting back.

In all the distraction, we didn't see the man crossing the road....

Just in time, dad swerved out of the way, narrowly missing the man, who had frozen, eyes wide with fear.

The car swerved and turned.

Then, we hit a spot, and began rolling down a steep, steep hill.

I was crying, screaming, "Daddy, save us!!!"

He tried everything to break, but couldn't.

Then the Huge willow came from no where.

It came closer and closer, until we collided into it.

With a sickening crunch, dad flew through the front window.

I could hear the sound of his skull collapsing, and blood splattering on me and the tree trunk.

My head had snapped forward, and back, hitting my car seat. Hard.

I wailed.

I didn't know what, but I knew dad was dead.
