Chapter 5

-"Pack your bags, Sim, you're gonna drive to your new home now." The principal casually walked in my room, while I was pretending to still be asleep.

But as soon as I heard what she had to say, I immediately sat up. -"What?"

-"Yes, sleepy head, you're getting new home. Wait, I think you're ready to go anyway, there's not much in here." She scanned my room.

-"I have to say goodbye to my friends!" I made a puppy eyes, and she smiled.

-"Sure, Sim, just get up. You have five minutes, then we'll meet in guest room."

She walked out, while I really quickly dressed up and walked out too. I stoped before going out, and looked back, wondering what I'm gonna miss here, and what new I'm gonna get there. Maybe nothing much at all.

I walked in cafeteria and ignoring the row grabbed an apple, after I smiled to Elise. She laughed at my trained movements, and gestured me to move away, since I was interrupting the line.

I walked to the principals cabinet, and met my friends there. Brian immediately hugged me, and I tried to mask my flinch. I really didn't liked touching as much as Brian did, but well, she is she, I'm not complaining.

Brian flashed me a smile before letting Luke hug me, after him, Damien. Then I finally could hug Taller. With Taller I was probably the closest, he always supported me and helped me, and I loved him as friend, even if he did want something more.

I hugged him tightly this time, and Damien cheered. -"Yay! Finally! Maybe a kiss too?"

I chuckled as I let Taller go, and flashed them all a smile, before heading into the guest room.

-"Everything's ready?" The principal asked, and I nodded. -"Good."

I followed Regina outside, because she was the only one who came. She led me to a big black Jeep, and I sat in the back seat. She got in too and started to drive.

We drove more than hour, stopping only to eat something and fill in the fuel. Why did they even bother to drive all the way to orphanage?

-"We're here."
Regina drive into backyard of a white, big house. From outside it doesn't look so cozy, I hope it would be from inside.

I got out and followed Regina inside. It wasn't cozy at all. It was just modern. I mentally sighed, not showing on outside that i didn't like here. Maybe with time I'll get used to that, but not now.

-"Neil and my husband will be home a little later. This house isn't as big as it maybe seemed from outside, so I hope you like it. On first floor there are kitchen and mine room. On the second floor are yours and Neils room." She said looking at me, then turned to the stairs.

-"Lets go, I'll show you your room." I followed her upstairs and she quickly led me to a room, who was all colored pink. Only thing who wasn't pink in here was bed, and the closet. Even the desk was in shade of a pink.

-"We can paint this room in whatever color you choose. My oldest daughter lived here, and left here all this." She gestured around, and I could tell that she didn't like the color too.

-"Alright, then, can we pain it black?"

-"Sure, whatever you want. We will buy you something what's not pink later."

I nodded and she left the room. I sighed and looked around, immediately making my way to the closet. I pulled it open, and of course, all clothes were pink.

I fell into the white bed and after moments I heard someone coming in. I pretended I was still asleep, when I felt someone else fall into my bed. My eyes shoot open to look at Neil.

-"What do you want?" I lifted myself up with my elbows.

-"I was supposed to call you to eat. But I want to sleep." He looked really tired, and I think he almost fell asleep in my bed.

-"So I'm the one who has to wake you up?!"I half yelled leaning as close as I dared to.

He immediately covered his ears with his arms and let out a grunt. I chuckled and got up from my bed.

-"Neil!" I pulled him out of my bed, completely waking him up. He uncovered his ears and stood up by himself.

-"Never do that agin." He crossed his arms and glared at me.

-"I didn't do anything." I made an innocent face, and waited till he'll lose his patience.

-"Lets just go." He said, and almost ran out of my room, with me following close behind. We rushed downstairs, and were greeted with Regina and her husband, Arch.

All food is already on the table, so I just sit down besides Neil. For a moment there's awkward silence between us, but then Regina starts talking. -"You'll have to go to school Sim, okay? Which grade did you finished last year?"

-"Eleventh grade."

-"So now you're in twelfth grade?"

-"Aha." I knew I'll have to go to school anyways. It was only October, so I will be the only new student in class... oh no.

-"Neil also goes in your grade, so he'll show you around the school."

I didn't answer, and I didn't need to. I don't have a choice to go or to not go, anyway.

We continued eating in silence, Neil only spoke to me when I was in my bedroom doors. -"Are you sure you go in the same grade as me?"

He obviously didn't believe that a girl can be so smart. -"Yes, I'm sure."
He nodded and turned to go.
