I quickly took a shower, trying to forget everything.
I didn't need another memory bring back from that day.
I winced as I stepped out of the shower and dried myself, almost instantly feeling pulsing headache, trying to forget my memories.
I grabbed the sinks edges and stared at myself in the mirror, as I saw my eyes shining bright blue from the electricity.
I let out a harsh breath and looked at my hands. My stare immediately fell down to my veins, who now pulsed much brighter than usual, when I used the powers.
The light in the bathroom started to blink as I tried to intense the power.
The lights went out when I tried more than I usually did, and I was left in dark with only my powers shining bright blue.
I walked out of the bathroom and immediately stopped using them, in order not to accidentally be revealed to Neil.
I let out a frustrated sigh, when I walked in the kitchen and was immediately greeted by Laina sitting on the counter and Neil standing in front of her, both grinning like idiots, they clearly were.
-"Hey, overaged, the underage kid is here, so stop "making love"" I said and they both glared at me in a playful act.
-"Hey underage kid, I guess while you're here, the overaged can't have sex, right?" Laina asked back, and Neil chuckled, as I now glared at them.
-"Hey overaged, now I'm gonna stay here all week just to avoid you two "having sex"" I added, and rolled my eyes, then walked over to the freezer and got out my dear vanilla ice cream.
Laina chuckled, and nudged Neil to walk further away and when he did, she got down from the counter and got her some ice cream too.
But she took two spoons, one handing to Neil, as they ate their ice cream.
I watched as they shared their smiles, who soon turned into wide grins as they ate and stared at each other, soon starting making out and letting the ice cream melting.
I couldn't help but to feel a little jealous.
I wanted something like that for myself, but knowing Mateo, I can't.
He's more like the cold hearted type, that won't go around blushing, or being sweet.
But I was happy for them.
I just hoped that nothing would happen between them, that would make them argue or even break up.
But knowing my luck, better not think about it.
I walked to my bathroom, and tried to turn the lights on, but I guess my electricity took a lot more from them than i thought.
-"Neil!" I shouted, hoping to catch his attention, and I did, seeing him soon walking in my room really frustrated.
And with Laina walking behind, shooting staggers at me.
-"What's wrong?" He asked, and looked over the room, then suspiciously staring me.
-"My bathroom lights aren't turning on." I pout, and he chuckled, letting out something similar to "Oh".
-"You can fix it, right?" I ask, and he walks in my bathroom, taking out a flashlight, I didn't even know he had.
-"I can try." He answers, and I carefully watch as he takes the corpus off, and does something what I don't understand.
And soon he places it back, and tries switching them on and off, and to my surprise, it's working!
-"Thanks." I sat and smile at him, but he's attention is soon back on Laina, as they grin at each other again.
He gently placed his arm around her waist and leads her out of my room, taking her probably to his.
I sigh and fall in my bed.
"Hey baby." Mateo wrote me a message.
"Can I call you?" I got a message again.
"Go ahead." I wrote back.
And soon my phone was ringing, and I immediately picked it up.
-"Hey pretty-" I started but was cut off.
-"Sim!" He shouted, making me pull the phone a little away from my ear.
-"What?" I couldn't help but to feel a little frustrated.
-"Where were you last night?" He asked.
-"With you."
-"What did I said?" He asked again, and I frowned.
-"Nothing much. Don't worry, you didn't confessed that you were in love with me." I let out a chuckle, to avoid him hearing my actually hurt voice.
It would be really relieving, if he would confess.
It would definitely make things easier.
-"Nothing much?" I'm pretty sure I could hear his skeptical voice even over phone.
-"Well, you didn't talk at all." I said, knowing that he would eventually remember.
-"Then why do I feel like missing something?!" He shouted again, sounding desperately.
-"It's probably nothing. You'll sleep it out. Between, how's your head? Do you have a headache?" I asked, letting concern take over.
-"I'm fine, thanks."
-"Why were you drinking?" My voice almost cracks, as I slowly ask him.
-"It's Hebrona. Somethings wrong with her." My heart immediately stopped, and my eyes widened.
-"Wha- what do you mean?" I tried not to show my tears eyes in my voice.
-"I don't know. She's in hospital. The doctors aren't saying anything." Mateo says in a broken tone.
He sure loved his sister.
That's the worse that could happen. If doctors doesn't or can't say anything, it's bad.
-"How is that the reason why you were drinking? Your problems won't go away because you drink, Mateo. Promise me you won't drink anymore." I plead him.
He sighed.
-"Yeah, I know, I promise I won't drink anymore." He said.
I let out a relieved breath. I don't know what would I do if he'd refused.
-"Thanks, Sim." He says.
-"For what?" I warily ask back.
-"For beeing there and listening. For everything you do for me, thanks." He says, but in a quiet monotone voice.
-"Well, that's what friends do, right?" I ask, and mask my voice, again.
Right?
-"Yeah..." he quietly mutters and ends the call.
What did I got myself into?
I fall asleep hearing Laina and Neil chuckling.
