Chapter 28

We continued watching movie in silence, with me sitting in his lap, and him tugging me closer every other second.

-"We need to go on a date." He finally said, bringing me closer again.

-"Or- first we need to tell Neil that we're dating." I said, enjoying this time with him alone.

-"He probably would insist on going to a double date." Mateo said, and I chuckled, remembering the day when he did.

-"So what?" I asked, turning my head sideways to stare at his pretty face.

-"So what? I want to spend time with you, not him." He said in grumpy voice, returning to his "grumpy self".

I chuckled.

-"I want to spend time with you too, but-" My phone started ringing.

Mateo groaned, but let me stand up to take my phone and checking the ID I saw Neil. Great.

-"Where are you?" Neil asked.

-"With Mateo." I said.

-"Aren't you supposed to be in school today?"

-"Nope." I answered, not even hiding my excitement.

-"Why do you sound so happy?" He asked, totally annoyed.

-"Maybe because I get to spend my precious time with my gorgeous boyfriend-" I said, as I walked back to Mateo and sat in his lap.

-"Wait, I thought you were with Mateo-" He started, not getting the point.

-"I am." So I cut him off.

-"Oh god, please tell me, you're dating him?" He asked, and I heard Laina gasping in background.

-"Yeah, kind of." I said, looking over at Mateo and pecking his lips.

-"We need to go on a double date." I heard Laina saying in background.

-"No, guys no, please no. I'm busy with my boyfriend. Bye." I said, my voice sounding annoyed, and Mateo chuckled.

-"Sim-" I cut him off by hanging up.

But I got a message from Neil.

"We need to go on a double date.
No sleeping together before marriage.
No sex until you're eighteen."

"Shut it Neil, I'm fine.
I always break rules, so-" I wrote back.

He seemingly gave up, until Mateo got a message from him.

-"If you'll have sex before she's eighteen I'll kill you." He read the message aloud, and frowned, then typed something back.

-"What do you want to do?" He asked, bringing his arms around me and staring at me with a smile.

-"Kiss you till the end of the day. Is it too much to ask for?" I asked, pouting.

-"No, but I need to work. And study. And hundred other things." He said, placing his head on my shoulder, and bringing me closer.

-"Yeah well-" I started and sighed.

I want to spend time with you, while I still can. What if when you find out about my powers, you won't like me anymore? What if, they kill you?

What if- what if I'm still dreaming?

-"Can I kiss you?" I heard Mateo asking me and I furrowed my brow.
