Chapter 29

We walked in school and Mateo slipped his arm around my shoulders, bringing me closer to his side.

I smiled and locked his fingers with mine, trying to warm my hand.

Neil and Laina were walking in front of us, in the same position.

Mateo suddenly stopped, and I looked up at him.

-"I need to go that way." He said, gesturing towards the other hall.

-"See you at lunch." I said and pecked his lips for a moment, then turned to go other way, almost jumping up from excitement.

Although I didn't want to go away from him, I was excited to see him at lunch.

I managed to focus in all my classes before lunch, and then we were finally allowed to go. I walked to cafeteria and immediately went to the table where Mateo was already sitting.

-"Food is for eating not playing." I said, dropping on the chair next to him.

-"Mouth is for eating not speaking." He said back, and supported his head on his hand, looking sideways at me.

-"Just kiss me already, idiot." I said and rolled my eyes.

-"Stop intimidating me." He raised his brow.

-"You're both idiots." Laina said sitting down. I turned to her raising my brow. -"We've already kissed multiple times walking trough hallway, and you are arguing about it. Idiots."

Neil sat down besides her, and I chuckled.

-"We're not like you, spending all of our free time kissing." I snickered.

-"Uh Uh." Neil said, starting eating.

I sighed and copied his actions.

After a while bell rang, and we parted our ways going our classes. This time Neil followed me.

-"Are you happy, Sim?" He asked, glancing at me.

-"Yes." I confidently answered.

And then it got to me.

Yes. Yes I was happy with him.

But what is the price of it?

What will be the price for us to stay together?

-"I'm happy for you, Sim." Neil said, and we walked in the class.

But that left me thinking about it all day.

-"Sim!" Neil snapped at me, trying to catch my attention.

I glared at him.

-"Stop zoning out." He said, glaring back.

-"Hey baby." Mateo approached and placed his arm around my shoulder, drawing me closer.

-"Hey pretty boy." I glanced at him.

-"Hey lovebirds!" Laina excitedly walks up to us and kisses Neil straight on lips. Neil immediately grabs her by waist and pulls closer.
