"God, you are such a useless lesbian." Pete said as he looked over Trixie's shoulder, seeing her looking through Katya's Instagram.

"What? She just popped up in my feed, we follow eachother." The brown-eyed girl said, trying to not seem like a deer in the headlights. She'd held her phone at an angle were she hoped he wouldn't see, but she was caught now.

"Oh please, Trixie I'm not dumb. I know you're into her."

"I am not!" Trixie protested.

"I swear to God I will burn you with this curling iron if you don't woman the fuck up and admit it." Pete threatened.

"Fine, I like her. It's not like it matters. She's Katya Zamolodchikova, notorious womanizer and hater of relationships. I can't deal with that... You know I can't do short term. I want something real, and that.. that isn't her."

"You don't know that tho. You've misjudged her before, Trix." The man replied as she curled another piece of her hair.

"This is different..."

"Why? Because you've decided it is?" Pete pressed.

"You wouldn't get it, she's just not the type, I know she isn't." Trixie tried to explain, her mind completely convinced that Katya being interested in anything close to a stable relationship was impossible.

"No, you've decided she isn't, and you've based that off of what people in this rotted industry say about her. She proved that she wasn't the self-absorbed asshole you thought she was, right? So why couldn't she also secretly want a stable relationship? You can't write people off because of opinions you've decided that they have." The man said, clearly annoyed by his friend's stubborness.

"Maybe you're right.."

"I know I am. And look, I'm not saying she'll like you back, I'm not saying you'll ride off into the sunset together, just don't write her off just yet. Give her the chance to prove you wrong."

"Well, it's not like I'm gonna see her now anyways. I may like her, but crushes fade away in time, and not seeing her all the time will probably make it go away." Trixie said, too stubborn to admit complete defeat.

"Sure, they do, but what's the point in hoping for that? You follow each other, you've got her number, not working together shouldn't mean shit. Reach out, take a chance, and if it goes to hell then it goes to hell, but at least you'll know you tried." Pete told the doll. "Also I can not sit and watch you pine over her Instagram photos without you taking a chance on her. I refuse."

"I hate you, even when you give me friendly advice you read me for filth." Trixie replied with laugh.

"You love me, and you know it."

Maybe Pete really was right. Maybe she could open her heart to Katya. Even if it was scary, especially with what she'd heard about the girl, it could be worth it. Besides, Trixie knew deep inside that her crush on Katya wouldn't fade easily, because truthfully no one was like Katya.

Katya annoyed her more than anyone, pushed her every button relentlessly, and yet Trixie secretly loved it. They had a dynamic that she'd never felt with anyone else. And most of all they had a magnetic pull between them that made her constantly yearn to be wrapped up in the girl's arms or feel her touch. Katya was everything she'd never imagine for herself, and yet Trixie thought she might be exactly what she needed.

But she couldn't get her hopes up too much, couldn't let herself get too swept away by there being a possibility that Katya could want what she wanted.

Still, maybe things weren't are hopeless as she had thought.
