"What do you mean; I can't take forty million out of the company account?" Katya said in annoyance as she paced around in her office.

"I mean; you do this, and this company is fucked." Ron replied honestly.

"How? How could that possibly be? We're one of the biggest companies in the industry! How is forty million an issue?" She argued.

"You know exactly how, Kat. You've got staff to pay. Actors, production teams, distribution, security, cleaning crew, lawyers, they all cost money, and they all depend on you. You pay people fairly, Katya, and that's great, of course it is. But it also means that our profit isn't as high as it is at many other studios, and we can't just throw forty million out the window."

"It's not throwing it out the window. Think of it as an investment, we're investing in new talent. She'll bring money in!"

"I get that Katya, I really do, and I get that you want her to leave Kinky Dolls. But the numbers don't care about your feelings." Ron tried to reason with her.

"Ron, you don't get it. She needs to leave that place, it's hurting her."

Katya was feeling desperate for a solution. Time was ticking fast, Trixie's dreaded shoot only a short week away, and they still didn't have anything to use against Robert despite the doll's risky attempts to search through his office. They'd calculated that Trixie's debt was likely somewhere between thirty-five and forty million dollars, but they knew that buying her out wasn't enough. They needed security.

"I understand that Katya, but there's no way. If you take forty million out of our account, then this company will be gone in no time. It's too risky... Twenty mill, we can handle that, twenty-five even. But thirty-five to forty like what you need, that we can't do..."

"Then what should I do? I can't leave her, Ron...  I need to fix this. I promised I'd fix it..." Katya said, feeling lost and frustrated.

Ron knew how much a promise meant to the blue-eyed girl, knew how she feared becoming what she hated by breaking them. Her life had been survival of the fittest, her innocence disappearing far too soon, only having herself to confide in most days. Katya was strong on the surface, but he knew that the lost child was still there, trying to get her head above water.

"Talk to your dad." Ron said in a soft voice.

"What?"

"Talk to him, Katya. You've got money waiting for you, all you have to do it talk to him. We can provide twenty million, just get the rest from him."

"I don't want his help! You how hard I worked to build this company without his funds, how I payed back every dime I'd ever used of his money to get us started. How can you even suggest that-" Katya started rambling in an aggravated tone.

"Because you have no other choice!" Ron yelled at her, surprising the blue-eyed girl since he rarely actually raised his voice.
"Listen Katya, I know. I know how shitty everything was back then. I know how much you've tried to free yourself of depending on him. I know how all you've wanted to do was punish him. I get it, okay? But there's a girl whom you claim to love, and she needs your help. So fucking get it together and do whatever is needed. You hate breaking promises, right? You don't want to be like him? Well, then don't be. Deal with being a little uncomfortable and sacrifice a little in order to protect Trixie."

"I can't... I can't be around him.. I can't do it.." Katya said in a small voice.

"You can, and you will. Love is sacrifice, Katya. It's easy as hell to make promises and spew out romantic lines, but you've got be willing to do the work." Ron said.

Katya realized then how she hadn't truly put Trixie's needs before her own, and how that needed to change if she wanted to follow another path then the one her father had ended up on.
Ron was right, love is sacrifice, and when Trixie was constantly taking a risk by sneaking into Robert's office, she herself needed to be able to reach out to her dad, no matter how uncomfortable it made her.

"Okay... I'll talk to him."
