The cloak of night had settled hours before, but Katya couldn't sleep, her head filled with uncertainty as she wondered if she should suggest what she wished to. If they crossed that line then there was no going back, but Katya trusted Trixie, and hadn't she already made the decision to turn the page?
Their bond was tried and true, so wasn't it time to trust in it completely?

Katya rolled over slightly, pulling the doll in her arms out of her limitless kingdom of dreams and back into the walls of reality.

"Katya? You're still awake?" Trixie asked with a yawn, her nose scrunching up cutely like a bunny.

"Yeah..." The blue eyed girl replied, still stuck between indecisive thoughts, and wondering if she was taking the right path.

"You head's working overdrive I see, what ya worrying about?"

Trixie knew the expression on Katya's face all too well. It was how the woman always looked whenever she wanted to hide behind her facade but couldn't. That look reflected her discomfort with letting her walls down, so whatever she was thinking about it had to be important, Trixie realized.

"Oh I was just... well... You know, we've gotten you away from Robert and all... and.. well, we're officially dating... and.. I love you..."

"And I love you, Katya. Now breathe, and tell me what it is." Trixie said softly, taking Katya's hand in hers and squeezing it comfortingly to calm the nervous woman.

Katya took a deep breath, giving Trixie a grateful smile and clutching the girl's hand as she built up the courage to let the woman completely into her life. Break down all the walls and show herself at her most vulnerable, revisit the painful past that she had tried so hard to ignore.

"I think I'd like you to meet my mom."

"Really?" Trixie said in surprise, her voice little more than a whisper and tears threatening to escape her honey brown orbs. She knew how shut in Katya's mother had become after her dad left them, knew how Katya herself had a hard time even visiting her mom anymore, so she knew how much it meant that Katya wanted to let her meet her.

"Yeah... I want her to know you, know what you mean to me. And maybe it will even do her some good. She's almost only seen staff members and on occasion me since my dad left, so maybe a new face could be nice. Maybe it could make her realize that time hasn't stopped, and that despite her pain, life goes on." Katya said.

"Katya, I'd love to meet her. I'd be honored to, really."

"Okay then, let's go visit her." The blue-eyed girl said, smiling as the doll gave her hand another comforting squeeze.

Trixie laid down on Katya's chest again, kissing the hand she was still holding softly before raising her head slightly again.

"Katya?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you for wanting to include me in your life." Trixie said.

"Trixie, you are my life now." Katya said sincerely.

"I love you so much... and you're my life too." The doll said before leaning up for a passionate kiss.

"I love you too, Trixie."
