Jordan- 15

Hailey Upton. The new detective to join intelligence from robbery homicide. Jordan didn't take to her at first, she felt as if she replaced Erin. She wanted her sister back. The teen oftened waved to her or said a simple hi or bye. She didn't have a close bond to her like she did with the others. She wasn't Erin.

Hailey knew the teen was still upset about Erin's departure, she wanted to know the teen better. Besides the one moment they had they never really had any other interaction with each other.

One day the team was working on a case, Hank was out talking with a CI. Jordan was coming in the district and up to the squad. The fifteen year old was coming from an AA and therapy session, she'd been attending a lot more meetings since Erin left, she was struggling a lot with her sobriety since Erin left. Not saying anything to anyone she walked to her father's office and closed the door.

Everyone didn't say much, they didn't know what to say to help her heal. In just such a short time frame she lost so many people. Justin, Olive and Daniel, Lexie, now Erin. Jordan felt as if she was barely hanging on by a thread, it could have been a matter of time before she slips.

Getting an idea Hailey got up from her desk and started for Hank's office, Jay saw his partner going there and went over to her.

"Hailey don't, Jordan's still having a hard time with everything" Jay told his partner.

"I wanna help her Jay. She needs someone" Hailey replies.

"The last time we forced Jo to talk to someone, it didn't end well. Give her time to come around. She's hurting bad right now. We should just give her some space. There's a lot about her you don't know"

"I wanna know about her, Jay. I wanna help her"

Jay sighed, he knew his partner wouldn't give up. Hailey had gone to Hank's office knocking then walking in. Jordan was at her father's desk doing her homework, her one year sobriety chip in her hand. She twirled it around between her fingers, hearing the door open she looked up thinking it was her father but instead she saw Hailey.

"You do know my dad's not here right?" Jordan asked looking back down to her book.

"I know, I came to see you," Hailey answered.

The teen looked at her with a curious look. "May I ask what for?"

"I thought maybe we should get to know one another a little better"

The teen knew where this was going. Jordan wasn't one to open up with just anyone, especially someone she just met and who took her sister's place. The teen closed her book. Jordan thought she could give it a try. If Hailey was a part of the team now then that would mean she would be part of her family.

"What'd you have in mind?"

That had actually shocked the blonde detective, she didn't expect to get that reaction out of the teen. A small smile appeared on her face.

"Maybe we can get pizza or something"

"I guess that's alright"

"Let's go"

Jordan closed her book and stuffed it in her bag, she left it under her father's desk. Hailey had gone out to get her jacket and gun from her desk. They all had watched. They all had seen Jordan come from her father's office and were stunned. Had Hailey actually gotten through to their boss's daughter? None of them had been able to do so since Erin left. Jay was even more surprised.

One vow the young detective took to, when Erin left he swore he'd look out for Jordan. He always had looked out for her but this time it was different. Growing up Erin and Jordan always had a special bond. Erin had always looked out for her. Now she was gone. Jay had taken that role, it made their bond more special.
