Yes I named it undies and what about it. 🙄

Hey guys! Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day and you all enjoy this new chapter.

*Also a little plug- I mentioned this a bit last chapter...but I currently just released an AOT fanfic (Levi x Reader) called "Freedom." So if you're interested in that, please check it out on my page. I'm working really hard on these two and would love if more people read my work. Thanks!*

"That was a mess."

I look up to Light as he speaks, slightly sighing as we stand in the department store's line.

"Yeah..." I say under my breath, looking down at my basket.

I look up at Light, noticing his eyes staring into it.

My eyes widen as I turn it away from him, covering it with my hand.

"Excuse me, stop looking at my undies." I say, squinting forward.

Light chuckles, shaking his head.

"So, I'm meeting a friend here." Light says, staring forward as we move up in the line.

"Okay?" I ask.

"Meaning..." Light continues.

"You're going to have to go back with Watari alone."

Light and I move up to the cashier as I place my basket on the table.

"Well you didn't have to come in the first place..." I say under my breath, my eyes annoyed.

"Hey..."

Light grabs my arm softly, turning me to look at him.

"Don't you think it's unfair to take your anger out on me?"

I stare at him for a bit before turning away.

Light was right. I was being a bit short with him. Part of me feels bad, but after a whole day of biting my tongue, It was kind of hard to hold in my annoyance.

"Look, I'm sorry." I say, turning away from him.

"Ryuzaki just really got under my skin today." I say, glaring at the cash register.

"Total is 15,800 yen."

I look up at the cashier before reaching into my bag.

"I got it..." Light says, taking his wallet out of his pocket.

"No it's fine." I reply, taking my money out.

Light grabs my hand before shaking his head.

"It's the least I can do." He says, handing the cashier money.

'What?'

"Thank you." Light says to the cashier, smiling at her.

The cashier smiles back at him, her cheeks slightly red as she bows.

'God.'

I roll my eyes, grabbing my bag off the counter.

Light follows behind me as I turn to face him, curious from his previous statement.

"Why do you say that?" I ask, looking at him.

"That it's the least you can do?"

Light scoffs a little, widening his eyes at the ground.

"It's kind of my fault the two of you are mad at each other."

I squint at him, waiting for him to continue.
