"Thanks Watari." I say, nodding at him as he opens the door for me in the parking garage.

"No problem Miss (L/N). Have a good sleep." He replies, bowing as I exit the car.

I walk past him into the elevator, hearing the car door slam behind me as he begins to park.

I sigh, pressing the button to go up.

'Tomorrow is going to be a damn mess...'

*DING*

I walk into the elevator as I think, resting my head against the wall.

'At least Light and I figured out....whatever the hell that was between us.'

I shake my head at the ground.

'You need to focus (Y/N). You're finding Kira. That's  your main goal.'

My eyes squint at the ground.

'I'll find Kira.'

*DING*

I look up at the elevator as it opens, revealing the the floor my room's on.

I walk down the hallway, my eyes looking for my room number.

'God why is this hallway so lon-'

My thoughts are cut off abruptly as a door slams into my body.

"Sh*t!" I say, my head jerking away from the door.

I put my hand over my face, grimacing from the impact.

"Come in here." I hear a cold voice say.

I look up through my hands, my eyes widening.

'L.'

I look at him as his pale hand holds the door open, slightly leaning forward to make eye contact with me.

I squint at him.

'Of course he'd slam a door in my goddamn face.'

I glare at him for a few moments, not moving.

He stares blankly back at me, almost as if he wasn't affected by what he just did to me.

'What the-'

I push past him angrily, walking into his room.

"You realize you just slammed a door in my face right?" I spit, glaring as I look towards the monitor.

I hear the door shut behind me.

"I'm sorry." He says, his voice disingenuous.

I snap my head around towards him, my eyes angry.

"For what? Slamming the door in my face or for leaving me at the hosp-"

My words stop abruptly, my eyes enlarging at him.

He stands inches away from me, his eyes not wavering from mine.

I feel a rush of butterflies swarm in my stomach as I back up abruptly.

"Uh..." I say, looking away from him.

"Is there..."

"New evidence or something?" I ask, trying to push away the feeling.

L stares at me for a few moments, his dark eyes relaxing on mine.

He stands there with his hands in his pockets, staring at me blankly.

"You realize I still suspect you, correct." He says abruptly, his voice slightly soft.

'What? Is this the whole reason he brought me in here? To piss me off again.'
