"Apprentice... Apprentice... How the hell am I supposed to find someone who'd be willing to train me?! Gah!" I threw my hands into the air out of frustration. There has to be someone... And I don't want that Anbu with the Sharingan, I don't care if it's stolen, I'd just rather train with someone who knows the value of hardwork rather than using a gift to their over advantage.

Wait... Value of hard work... I giggle as I realize the perfect person, if they would even do it. I was about to skip towards my desired location until someone hooked their fingers on the back of my shirt collar. "Wah! Who is it??"

"Shut it kid." The voice is distinctly female.

"You know, you remind me a lot of Sasu-chan... OW! Why are people always hitting me??"
I wail, earning another smack to the head.

"Oi, I said shut it, gaki (brat)! I'm here because I heard you were looking for someone to apprentice you out of my good freaking graces!" She yelled, finally letting me go. I turned around and my eyes widened in awe...

"Oh my god! Purple hair!" I jumped onto her head in glee, then she shook me off her head and kicked me in the stomach.

"The name's Anko Mitarashi. And you are Shiro, right?"

"Oh lala~ I know who you are Miss Mitarashi, thee one and only Snake Mistress of Konoha!" Anko smacked her forehead and dragged her hand down, making me grin. Yay free entertainment!

"Here, gaki. We are going to my training field." She tossed a black headband with a metal plate on it, the Hidden Leaf symbol engraved into the metal... Yes, finally a ninja!

I tied the head band around my waist, weird, but I feel like it fit better on my waist than my head. I grabbed Anko-shishou's arm right as she made a hand seal and we were off. It was amazing! We appeared in front of a well known training ground, number forty-four, the Forest of Death.

I have to wonder just what the Shodaime was thinking when he created this place... Anyways, Anko-shishou grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and dragged me into the forest. Eventually we stopped under a big tree with it's roots sticking out, making it a good hidden location to rest. "Kai." She murmured, and the ground in the little caved in area disappeared into nothingness, revealing stone steps leading down into darkness... Cool.

I followed her down the steps and when we finally arrived at the bottom it was... Creepy, to say the least. There were jars filled with weird things, patterns on the walls I faintly recognized as Fuinjutsu, dried blood on some of the walls and cuffs connected to the floor. In one dark corner, there was a lonely bed, next to it was a pallet roughly the same shape as the bed.

"Well... Welcome to the place we'll be staying in. This is my real home." She sounded more depressed as she walked over to the bed and sat down, like all of her energy had been drained away... What was this place? It looked horrible... It must have bad memories attached to it...

"Anko-shishou?" Her head snapped up suddenly.

"I've only known you for a few hours and you already call me Shishou? I haven't even taught you anything yet..." I softly smiled at her, she is Shishou because she actually came to me to offer me to be her apprentice rather than I coming to her.

"I call you Shishou because unlike everyone else I have the faintest feeling you didn't choose me just because I was a Uchiha, which is exactly what I was looking for. I feel like you deserve the title." Her eyes widened, for a shinobi she is very open with her emotions... Then again, so am I, haha!

"Thanks, kid. Well, I'm going to earn that title even more now!" Her face took on an expression that spelled doom for me and I gulped. Maybe I would get the hard work even though it was not the Master I thought it would be.

"Run little gaki, run!" She laughed maniacally and I ran up the stairs, narrowly dodging the multiple senbon needles she threw at me.

"AAAAH!" I screamed as I ran through the Forest of Death, dodging crazy animals, giant centipedes, leeches, and my new crazy Shishou!
