The relationship between Jimin and Mingi has steadily been growing.
To the platinum's mind it was quite new. It seemed as though Mingi was versed in the whole dating thing, which in turn kind of worried Jimin a little but the guy had not done anything to jeopardise his doubts.
They spent most of the hours at school together when they could and Jimin would sometimes go over to his house where they mostly just hung out. It was as platonic as you'd expect puppy love to be.
It was a Friday today, and like the rest of them before that Jimin and Mingi agreed to hang out at the taller boy's house. So after bidding his brother a goodbye and a promise to watch the episode of Young Sheldon they'd miss today, tomorrow, they left.
"I hope you don't mind but a few of my friends are coming over to hang out." Mingi announces over the music playing in the car.
"What!?" Jimin asks, an uneasiness creeping up his arm.
"Don't worry, they're alright. They're just loud and crazy at times."
The answer did nothing to really settle Jimin's mind but he attempted to just discard it. Of all the times they had hung out Mingi's parents were always there. Jimin would greet them always and they would do the same. They were nice and welcoming. Considering they knew Namjoon and everything it wasn't as awkward.
When they got there, a truck was parked in the driveway where Mingi would usually park his car along with his parents' other cars in the hanger.
"Aish, they're here already." Mingi Sighs as he grabs his keys.
"Your friends?"
"Yeah, come on, they've probably trashed my room by now and raided the fridge." Mingi explains as they exit the car and walk into the house.
Shouting and the sound of furniture moving could be heard upon entering the living room. The array of messes around the room, snacks and clear paper cups were all over the wide coffee table in the centre of the room, the once accessorised sofas were pushed close to each other.
On them bodies occupied the space, some lounged and some sitting up with their feet up, wearing their shoes.
"Geez guys, a little respect would be nice. You animals!" Mingi complains half heartedly.
"Hah! Look at who's talk!" Somebody replies from the couch. A girl sits in his lap.
As Jimin makes his way around Mingi to fully see the people, his mouth gets dry.
Mark, his girlfriend; Nayeon, her best friend; Jeongyeon and Seokmin were all sat around the room. The same group from the party he went to and hung out with.
They were all equally as surprised as his but the looks on their faces.
"Yooo, Jimin! Aren't you a sight for sore eyes. The hell are you doing here?" Mark says loudly making his way towards the pair. He wraps a hand around the short male's shoulder and smiles.
"You didn't tell me you knew this ass!" Mark says, a grin on his face as he pokes his finger into Mingi's stomach. He swats his hand away almost immediately.
"Yeah right I'm the ass."
"S'up dude, Hoseok with you!?" Seokmin asks coming into the conversation.
"Oh, ah- no." he mumbles out.
The two other pair eye him for a moment and then look at each other then they look back at Mingi.
"Wait! Don't tell me," Mark and Seokmin start to laugh.
"You and this distinguished gentlemen here?" They say completing each others' sentences. A hint of mockery Seokmin's voice. At that moment Mingi reaches over and knock Seokmin up the side of the head.
