Yeeun POV

It was Saturday morning and my alarm was blaring through my ears. I groggily reached over and attempted to turn it off until the room was filled with silence.

I mentally sighed before sitting up slowly, eyes still shut. I contemplated on whether or not I should lie back down and skip volunteering today, or get out of bed.

A few minutes passed and I finally managed to drag myself out of bed to wash up. I wasn't sure what I'd be doing while they practiced so I decided to wear black jeans with a random t-shirt and a light jacket over it. I thought about putting my hair back but couldn't be bothered to.

I grabbed my bag along with the house key and my phone. As I made my way downstairs I saw Wonhyuk sitting in the living room. "Why are you up so early?" I asked.

He turned around in shock before replying, "I should be the one asking you that. Are you going on a date?"

"No. I'm completing some volunteer hours today," I said as I walked towards the door and stopped to put my shoes on.

"Can I go too?" He smiled.

"Why would you want to come?" I crouched down as I began tying my shoes.

"There's no one to hang out with here."

"Well I'm not volunteering alone so I don't think you can. And why'd you wake up so early then?"

"I got hungry, plus you know I habitually wake up early. You, on the other hand, I'd never expected to see up this early."

"It's barely 8:15, you act like it's 6 AM," I looked over at him as I finished tying my shoes.

"We both know you suck at waking up early, don't try to make excuses," he said as he waved his finger from side to side.

"Whatever, I'm leaving. See you later," I waved before opening the door.

"Wait!" He called, which made me look back. "When do you finish?"

"Noon. Why?" I questioned.

"You're going to school right? Maybe I'll stop by when you finish so we can get something to eat."

"Yeah, I am. If you're going, then text me. I have to go before I'm late," I said as I looked at the time. I walked outside and locked the door before heading to school.

Should I call him when I get there? I got closer to school and still couldn't make up my mind. As I was about to pull out my phone, I saw Seungmin standing at the gate. Please let this go well. He's so unpredictable I don't know what to expect.

I took a deep breath before walking up to him. "Why are you standing here?" I asked. He opened his mouth but didn't say anything. "Were you waiting for me?" I raised a brow.

"No, of course not...I just got here," he said awkwardly.

"Umm alright then, let's go inside," I said, motioning towards the door. He nodded and we walked into the school. The hall was filled with complete silence as we walked. There was quite some distance between us, but I didn't mind since I preferred it to be that way.

Making small talk seemed pointless considering who he was. I simply followed him to the baseball team's practice area. Once we got there, his coach bombarded me with excitement.

"Seungmin, you're here!" He shouted as he walked towards us. "This must be Song Yeeun," he smiled at me.

"Hello sir," I greeted him nervously.
