Yeeun and I were working on our project in one of the study rooms after school. I was surfing through the pictures I took from the trip while Yeeun sat in front of me, putting together our presentation. As I was clicking through, I stopped at the photo I took of her admiring the view. I gulped as my heartbeat seemed to sound louder than usual.
"Hey! What are you looking at? I've asked you the same question multiple times!" I blinked out of my daze as I looked up at her, meeting her angered eyes.
A moment later she stared at me in bewilderment. "Hey, what's wrong with you, are you okay? Your face is all red and you're sweating," she grabbed a tissue and leaned toward me.
I flinched from her sudden movement and she clicked her tongue at me. "Relax, I'm not gonna kill you. What were you thinking about anyways?" She asked as she dabbed the tissue along my forehead.
"I'm thinking about you..." I mumbled and she flicked my forehead. note: (does anyone get my reference?)
"Pervert," she threw away the tissue before sitting back down and focusing on her laptop screen.
I let out a sigh hoping she wouldn't continue interrogating me. I glanced at her before going back to looking at the photos. She suddenly started giggling and laughing to herself. I looked at her with concern written on my face.
"Um...are you okay?" I asked hesitantly.
She looked at me briefly before speaking between laughter. "You're—so—cute."
I felt my face flush. Just as I was about to ask her what she meant, the door opened, revealing a peeping Hyunjin. "I'm cuter," he scoffed as he pulled out the chair beside her and made himself comfortable.
Yeeun stopped laughing and looked at him in shock. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be seeing the doctor?" She glanced at his arm and he waved it off.
He reached over and pinched her cheek as he cooed at her. "Aww, are you worried about me?" He asked as she scoffed as pushed his hand away.
"You're too bold for your own good," she rolled her eyes before looking back over at the laptop in front of her.
Hyunjin hummed as he took a glimpse at her screen. "What are you watching? I wanna see too," he leaned close to her, his arm stretching behind her chair as he tapped on the keyboard to play the video, leaving no distance between the two.
He started laughing a minute later before crossing his arms and pouting at her in disappointment. "I want Song Yeeun to take videos of me too."
She looked at him in disgust. "In your dreams pretty boy."
He perked up at her words. "You think I'm pretty?" He asked as he got closer to her, blinking his eyes repeatedly.
She pushed him away with a sigh. "Hwang Hyunjin, we've had this conversation many times."
"But I'll never stop loving you," he poked.
"Sorry to break it to you but my sis likes someone else," Wonhyuk spoke as he entered the room.
Her head snapped at the door in surprise. "What are you doing here? How did you get inside?" She questioned in shock.
He shrugged before putting away her items and pulling her out of her chair. "We gotta go sis. We don't have time to play guess who right now," he said before dragging her out of the room.
Hyunjin propped his head in the palm of his hand as his elbow rested on the table. He looked at me with an amused expression. "Seungmin my friend, I love you but I hate you," he said before standing up to walk out of the room.
What's that supposed to mean? He stopped at the doorway as he turned to look at me. "By the way, take good care of Yeeun for me. I don't want to regret my decision," he gave me a smile in the form of a frown before leaving the room.
Does that mean Yeeun has feelings for me too? Should I tell her how I feel? Is it too soon? How should I confess?
A bunch of thoughts circulated my mind as the idea of Yeeun reciprocating my feelings were all I could think of.Yeeun pov
"Where are we going? What's the rush?" I asked as Wonhyuk loosened his grip on my wrist.
He took a glimpse of me as he continued walking, trying to avoid any conversation between us. I pulled his ear down causing him to wince in pain. "Ah! Yeeun! Let go!" He yelped.
I let go of him and he rubbed his ear in pain. "You're a monster. Anyways, there's no reason why I came to get you. I was just bored," he shrugged.
I looked at him blankly and reached over to give him a good smack on the head but he stopped me. "B-but! Maybe we should have some quality sibling time. Tell me about your boyfriend."
He looked at me anxiously and I rolled my eyes. "There's no boyfriend Wonhyuk. How many times do I have to tell you I'm not dating him?"
He pointed at me with wide eyes. "I didn't even say a name and you already have someone in mind!" He exclaimed.
I ignored him and he let out a sigh before boarding the bus. I followed behind him to a set of empty seats before plopping down in silence. "You know...you've changed since you started hanging out with him. You might've hated his guts a while ago but I can see how much happier you've become with him in your life. Song Yeeun, I hope you'll come to realization with yourself and accept your feelings. I'll accept him as my brother-in-law," he spoke in a calm but serious manner as the bus rode off.
I let out a sigh as I leaned my head back, closing my eyes.
What should I do?
