Sol woke up.
He looked around and tried to remember where he was.
He walked outside into a harsh morning light. He didn't know where he was.
He had no shoes or bag.
Sol called for his sister.
He walked down the mountain calling for his sister.
He got to the bottom and saw no sign of her.
He walked around and tried to find some shoes.
Sol started walking.
He walked up and down the streets calling for his sister.
He started to feel faint and hunger hit him.
He noticed a shoeshine man down the street. He walked over to him.
He walked over to the shoeshine man.
"Can I have a piece of bread?" Sol asked.
"I don't have any." The shoeshine man replied.
"Do you know where some food is?"
"I saw some soldiers not too long ago."
"Were they British or American?"
"British."
Sol gasped.
"The British soldiers took all the food in the village." The shoeshine man said sadly.
Sol walked up the street. He began to feel faint.
He passed out from hunger.
