I opened my eyes to the lamp in the room beaming brightly onto my face. I finally made out the face of a person through the bright light, the person stood above me, it wasn't Dallas, but it looked like Dallas. I screamed, the person fell back, startled by my scream. I didn't know who they were, it scared me.

"Thanks for the greeting" It was a girl, she looked 16, she sounded like Dallas, New York accent and all.

"Who are you?" I said, pulling my thin blanket around my body.

"Fuck, Monika. I told you she was here, couldn't you give her space?" Dallas chimed in, he walked into my room and pulled Monika by her arm out of the room.

My reflection pierced right back into my soul while I brushed my hair, I had a blue tank top on and black jeans. I walked out of the bathroom and into the living room, Monika sat on a bean bag with her legs crossed, staring intensely at the Tv, Mickey mouse was plastered on the screen. Dallas leaned against the wall, slightly watching the Tv and Monika.

"Hey Dally. Would you like to introduce me to that one" I said, pointing my eyes towards her.

"Thanks for calling me the one," She said, not moving her eyes from the Tv.

"That's Monika, she's my sister" I nodded along, moving closer to her to get a full view of her. Her eyes snapped to me, watching me as I took a glance at her.

"You like what you see?" She snapped.

"You really look like your brother" I said, getting a good glimpse of her face. She looked like Dallas, the defined jawline, the almond shaped eyes, the plump big lips, except her New York accent was a lot stronger and her eyes were a light blue, not the beautiful cocoa brown eyes.

I looked back at Dallas, stood up and walked into the kitchen, I hoped up onto the counter and observed the two of them. Dallas walked over to me, a small smile on his face. He opened the fridge and reached in grabbing out a carton of eggs. He looked back at me with his eyebrows raised, he motioned the eggs towards me, I nodded to tell him that I was ok with eggs.

"You live with your sister?" I asked, scooching over on the counter to watch Dallas cook.

"No, I don't. She got a car two months ago. Then she decided to drive from New York to Los Angeles, stopping by here to say Hi to me. She's the only one of my family who still talks to me, she's inherited all my grandparents' money."

"I understand that. Owen is the only one in my family who still talks to me" I chuckled, kicking my feet against the cabinet.

"I'm going to Cerro Gordo!" Monika said, waltzing into the kitchen, bright and happy.

"Where in the hell is that?" I asked.

"What in the hell is that?" Dallas said, I looked at him and laughed slightly.

"It's an abandoned haunted mining ghost town not too far from Los Angeles. There used to be a murder a week there! It made Los Angeles what it is now! Ain't that the coolest"

"Yeah" Dallas and I said, we looked at each other and started laughing, we were so insync and matched the amount of sarcasm.

"I ship you two" Monika said, squinting at us like she was a detective. "What's your name, Kitty?"

"Kitty? It's Laura"

"Laura" she repeated. "Lallas? No. Daura? DAURA!"

"Monika, I have my eyes on a girl. Not Laura" I felt my heart sink, he didn't like me like I liked him. Monika lifted her eyes at Dallas, she made an "ooh" sound. Monika kept bumping up to Dallas and teasing him about having a crush. It made me feel awkward how touchy she was, "Sweet Home Alabama" kept playing in my head, I couldn't stop giggling.
