I hangout at Soda's place all day the next day. I felt a sense of being at home while being here.

"Strawberries? Or Watermelon?" Soda asked, pulling out both fruits and shoving them near my face.

"Why not both, make a fruit salad with only watermelon and strawberries"

"A Smoothie!"

"Yes!"

"Darry will kill us if we make a mess"

"But Smoothie"

"But Smoothie" Soda cut the watermelon, while I cut strawberries, we put them in the blender and blended it all up. Surprisingly, no mess appeared, we did quite well for our stupidity.

I missed having Soda around, I missed joking around with him and laughing. I swear we could not stop laughing. It was amazing and fun. As we watched the movie we always watched when we were younger, Ponyboy and Poppy walked through the door. Poppy's jaw dropped as she stared at me, she ran up to me and hugged me.\

"Hey Poppy"

"Where have you been? I thought you were dead"

"Mom kicked me out"

"She wouldn't do that"

"Oh she did" I said, Poppy pouted and gave me a stare.

"Meet my boyfriend, Ponyboy, ain't he a sweetheart" Poppy jumped with joy by just looking at Pony.

"Good job, Pony. You got the most annoying girlfriend on the planet!" Poppy pushed me to the side, I wobbled over slightly, giggling like a hyena. Pony and Poppy walked away and went to Pony's bedroom. I sat down beside Soda, he put his hand on my thigh, it startled me at first, but I got used to it.

"What's it like living with Dallas Winston?"

"Why are you so obsessed with talking about him?"

"I just want to know"

"Its nice, he sweet and gives me my space"

"Huh" Sodapop looked over at me, he looked different, almost sadder. I wrapped my arms around Soda, giving him a nice tight squeeze. He popped out a smile, causing me to smile.

"Haven't heard about Owen in a while," Soda said. Shit. I forgot about Owen. You dumbass!

"I was supposed to pay him a visit, wanna come?"

"Sure thing." Soda said, he grabbed my hand and walked with me towards my house, we talked about almost everything you could think of. Soda was smiling like he used to when we were little, bright, silly and bouncy. For an odd moment, I felt attracted to Sodapop, I shook my head and let that thought go.

We entered the house, my parents weren't home. I went to the basement where Owen's room was. I knocked on the door. "Owen?" no answer, I looked back at Sodapop and back at the door. I knocked again, no answer.

"He's probably out with friends or left with your parents" Soda ran his hand along my back.

"You sure don't know him. He hates being alone around my parents and his only friend is Pony" I laughed. I tried to open the door, it was locked. I got concerned and started rattling the door knob. Soda and I kept trying to open the door. Finally Soda kicked it open and fell in.

I started to scream.
