Bella's POV:
I was in the kitchen making myself a sandwich when I heard shuffling behind me and felt a pair of arms encase my waist. I looked in my peripheral vision and saw Damiano's head right above my shoulder.
"Is the meeting finally over?" I asked. He nodded and eyed my sandwich. "Do you want me to make you one?" He nodded his head once again. I started making him another roast beef sandwich. We took our sandwiches to breakfast bar and started eating.
"Do you want to hang out?" he asked me.
"Of course." I replied with a smile. "What do you want to do?" I asked him.
"I don't know. Do you want to watch a movie?" he questioned.
"Sure. What did you have in mind?"
"Have you ever watched Marvel movies?" he asked.
"No." I smiled as I watched his face light up like he was talking about his favorite thing.
"Okay, let's watch Iron Man. You'll love it." he grinned.
We popped popcorn in the microwave, got some drinks, and then sat down in the living room to watch the movie. After the movie was over we sat and talked about school, our siblings, and many other things.
Eventually it was time for Damiano to go home, and time for me and my family to eat dinner. I ate dinner with my brothers before going up to my room. I watched a couple episodes of the Originals before finally drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
......................
I was eating breakfast with Andre and Dante when Leo ran through the house like a madman. I think he was searching for his keys.
"Where are you doing?" Andre asked.
"Don't worry about it." he said shrugging the question off and then rushing out the door.
Leo was gone for an hour before he came back in the house, with company. There was a woman with honey blonde hair and super dark green eyes. She was also wearing an army uniform. Leo was in front of her carrying a bag.
"Leo?" I asked. I was the only one left in the house because Andre went to Jake's house, Gianni went to the bookstore, and Alessio and Dante went to work.
"Hey Bella, I want to introduce you to Camilla. My girlfriend." he introduced.
I stared at her a few moments. It was probably rude of me but I wanted to make her squirm a bit. After a few moments she started shifting on her feet. I walked towards her and instantly enveloped her in a hug. She stiffened before hugging me back.
"Now you won't have to die alone Leo." I smiled.
"You are so rude to me." then paused, "Did you guys bet on me?" he questioned. He totally caught us. That is a terrible habit us Marino's have...making bets on our sibling's relationships.
"It was all Alessio and Dante's idea." I told him truthfully. He put his palm up to his face. Then looked at me inquisitively.
"Did you at least win?" he smirked. I nodded before taking Camilla's hand and dragging her into the living room.
"So I assume you just got back from somewhere. Where were you?" I asked her since it was evident from her very tan skin that she was in a sunny climate.
"I was stationed in Afghanistan for fourteen months." she answered.
"I'm glad that you came back safe. Are you hungry? I ate not long ago but I can make something while you and Leo spend some time together." I offered.
"That would be great." she replied with a hungry look. I went to the kitchen and started making some chicken salad on toast. Leo and Camilla sat there and talked with such endearment in their eyes.
The only question I have is why did Leo take this long to tell me about her?
After an hour or two Leo essentially kicked me out of the house and told me to either go to Haley's house or Damiano's house. I opted for Damiano's house. I called him and asked him if he wanted to go do something. He immediately agreed and raced to my house.
We ended up going to the park. I know that sounds boring but I enjoy the park. We went over to the swings and Damiano pushed me for a while before getting on his own swing.
"The school year with be over in a few months. You'll be a junior and I'll be a senior." Damiano announced. "Are you going to go to college?"
"Um, I don't know. I never really thought about college to be honest." I told him. That was false though I knew what I wanted to be, but I would never admit it to him or any of my family.
"You're lying." he said stunned.
"You're gonna think it's stupid."
"No I won't" he insisted.
"Fine. I've always wanted to be an art teacher." I told him, to which he smiled.
"I think that you would make a great art teacher." he confessed. I immediately thought he was lying.
"Why would you want me to be an art teacher? You, my brothers, my cousin, you're all big time business people." I shouted.
"Babe, you feed my ego when you call me a big time business person." he said sarcastically. "But seriously, you shouldn't let your family stop you from pursuing your dream job."
Damiano's remarks made me feel a lot better with my thoughts on that topic, and strengthened my fortitude to go after my dream.
Sorry it's a bit of a shorter chapter but I'm hoping to publish everyday for the next couple of days, as long as I don't lose my motivation and train of thought.
