Isabella Beatrice Marino has always lived with her mother and step-father. After her mother dies she is left in the care of her step-father, Tom. After a series of unfortunate events, Isabella is sent to live with the family she never knew existed...
After the events of last night everyone was walking on eggshells. Earlier this morning we all agreed not to bring it up unless it was necessary. It was currently noon on a Sunday. I was in the kitchen eating lunch with Eva. I was sitting at the breakfast bar eating a turkey sandwich, Eva had one as well, when Andre came into the room.
"Izzy, come spend time with me." he whined. I looked at him with an un-amused face. "Please."
"Fine." I conceded.
"That's why your my favorite sister." he chirped.
"Whatever." I said as I finished pushing the deliciousness into my mouth.
I stood up and went over to the sink and put my plate down. Then I followed Andre to do whatever he wanted to do. He headed out the door and he lead me through the yard.
"Where are we going Andre?" I asked.
"You'll see." he said. He kept walking until we reached a small iron gate, where there were large stones inside.

"What is this?" I quickly asked.
"This is our family graveyard." Then he walked over to a line of three large stones and went to the newest looking one. "This is Dad's grave."

Famiglia per sempre
I continued looking at the stone. My father had died on my 10th birthday. I was stuck in my trance until Andre's gaze pulled me out of it.
"What happened? I mean Leo said it was an accident but what really happened? Was it like a car accident?" I curiously asked. Andre paused and looked at me with a stunned expression.
"He told you it was an accident?" Andre questioned, hurt evident in his voice.
"Yeah." I mumbled, confused.
"Our father was murdered." he deadpanned. I stood there shocked. My father was murdered? Who murdered him and why?
"How? Why?" I asked.
"He was shot, walking into church to go to confession." Andre explained. "He always went to confession on your birthday."
"Did the police catch the killer?"
Andre's POV:
Her question caught me off guard. I was 12 when Dad was killed, so I didn't know much, but enough. I knew that Dad was the capo of the Marino Crime Family. I knew that people wanted to kill him. I knew that if he was killed Uncle Galileo, Dad younger brother, would be capo until Leo came of age, but I never thought he was actually capable of dying.
