The boys—including Grim—went to lunge at each other. They were throwing punches and kicks mercilessly. Luckily, none of the sides used magic so that was one less thing to worry about.

Ace punched one of the dudes' faces and the guy stumbled backward, unfortunately falling completely because of Grim standing near his foot. Deuce, who was busy with the other guy, fell as well and landed on the dude on the ground. The navy-haired was soon put in a chokehold and was struggling, but eventually got himself out of that position.

I just stood on the outskirts of the battlefield, unsure of what to do.

While I did feel my heart warm up because the guys did stand up for me, eventually I saw their faces and I knew that... Now, they were just having fun.

I looked around me, and no one was really doing anything to stop the fight. They just stared; some would then ignore us while some continued to watch and enjoy the spectacle of the brawl.

'Are you kidding me!?' I screamed in my head.

I didn't dare try to enter the fight, still feeling the pain from the night prior. Also, I felt like the boys had it under control because soon Deuce and Ace grabbed the dudes' faces and had their heads bash the other.

I cringed at the ending scene, feeling quite bad for the jerks.

Grim went off snickering like the devil himself, and his demon henchmen—Ace and Deuce—were both proud of their work.

They eventually let go of the bullies, dropping them to the ground. The pair then hastily got to their feet.

"You're better than expected..." One of them scoffed.

"My pasta's getting soggy so I'll let you off easy!" The other said.

They both collected their things and quickened their pace to escape. They both muttered under their breath of things I couldn't quite catch, and they both glared at me once the distance between them and us was significantly big.

Grim—grin wide as ever—proclaimed and shouted, "Hmph!! Those guys were all talk! And never come back!"

We all returned to our seats, mostly unscathed and food still intact.

I sighed with relief, in my mind I thought that now we could finally get a peaceful lunch. However...

"Why did you let him step on you (y/n)!?" Ace spat.

"Exactly, he was in the wrong. Why did you say sorry?" Deuce added.

'Oh dear,' I mentally groaned, hoping that the boys wouldn't have brought up what they have already. I shrunk back into my seat, not feeling exactly comfortable to answer back.

"Does this have something to do about last night? Were they the jerks from last night too?" Ace interrogated.

"Wait, you know what happened Ace?"

"No, but come on Deuce, it's obvious that some pieces of shit attacked (y/n)!"

"I-I mean, I had some ideas but just... I can't exactly imagine that even this school would have bullies and all... "

I stared at the two, eating Deuce's plate however I was slowly starting to lose my appetite.

Grim was off to the side, eating as well and spectating us. He'd occasionally inch his butt closer to me over the tabletop after each bite—sideglancing me with a look of concern.

"No... they're not the ones from last night..."

I muttered quietly yet it was loud enough for them both to hear.
