1ST POV
"Howoah! This is gorgeous! It couldn't be more different from ours!"
Exiting the mirror that led us to Heartslabyul, Grim and I immediately went to admiring the luscious dormitory. It stood tall like a Victorian mansion, with large hedges of greenery lining the outskirts of the building's garden.
Grim and I continued to stare, completely entranced by this new building. I remembered back to our old rickety place and suddenly got down, "The comparison is making me depressed, so stop."
"Man, why do we get to have the old rundown one! Nyugh!"
Grim scratched his big head as we both began to wail.
"Umm... Are you two alright?" Deuce blocked our view of the beautiful scenery.
"Y-yeah! We're... g-great!"
Grim and I shot a fake thumbs-up, tears magically pouring from our eyes.
Ace stepped in to look at us too, "Okay... Ramshackle seems to be a place for weirdos. Noted, anyway now to find that damn tyran-"
"Crap, crap. I've gotta get these roses painted."
A foreign voice was an earshot away. We all turned in the direction of the new voice.
Grim muttered, "Oh, somebody is here."
The little furball went closer to this new person. We all turned to one another, unsure of what to do.
"Grim, come back!" Deuce went jogging ahead of Ace and me to catch the little devil.
"Ugh, I'm beginning to wonder if I should've gone by myself," Ace facepalmed while chuckling to himself.
Hearing his chuckle, I have to admit it was really handsome... Instantly upon thinking of that, the tips of my ears reddened and I went to physically swat those thoughts away.
It must've been a weird scene to see since Ace leaned in towards me with a serious expression.
"(Y/n)? Everything chill?"
His face was way closer than I thought and by instinct, I nodded profusely. Each second that passed, I nodded faster and faster while the heat in my face rose.
"You're getting red (y/n)..." Ace sighed briefly and, I could've sworn, was a bit red himself, "Don't tell me you caught some kind of fever from last night."
"N-no... Anyway, what's with you and being serious today! You don't strike me as the caring type, jerk," I blurted out with a pout. I lowered my head, severing our eye contact.
I instantly regret my word choice, it seemed so harsh. I went to hope that Ace didn't take it so seriously.
I looked up and saw him wearing his mocking smile.
"Oh no..." I muttered under my breath.
"Heh, you speak like those tsunderes in anime, especially with that pout! Awe, not used to being cared about? Or have you fallen for me~"
'EEK!!!'
"W-w-wha-"
Ace cut in with a roar of laughter, "I'm joking my guy! Damn, who knew you're so good to tease at!"
'Damn. This. Jerk.'
I was fuming with embarrassment and was still blushing to no end. Ace continued to let out a hearty laugh before cooling down.
I unintentionally pouted at the ginger and he wiped an imaginary tear before starting down at me.
"U-Ummm..." Ace coughed and caught my attention. I saw a layer of red on his face, and a blush returned to my face again.
